It is hard to listen to this great track that evokes great nostalgia and sad feelings that Steve and Greg are gone and with them that era. And those of us old enough to remember, hope that like us, they will not be forgotten with the passage of time.
Frampton at his best. The great thing about the Pie was they were all excellent songwriters, musicians and great singers. They were called a "supergroup" when they came out, which turned out to be true.
Frampton just seemed to have it all. Unique guitar style employing jazz with blues/rock. Deep intimate song writing, yet balls to the wall rock writing. And his vocals were strong and definitely unique and soulful. Not to mention how good looking he was, more so than most women, lol, ! The guy's talent along with everything else grabbed me back in the early seventies, and I was hooked. Humble Pie is still the finest rock and roll band in the land.
Saw Frampton in 75, in Dallas, Texas, and then was able to See Marriott and the Pie in 1980 or 81 at Cains Ball Room in Tulsa. Both were outstanding concerts.
Sitting on a park bench on this beautiful July afternoon listening to this song with tears streaming down my face thinking about my love who passed away from cancer in April. ❤😂
What is to come? Who knows what tomorrow will bring?....in about 6 years everyone on the planet will realize just how talented Peter Frampton really is....brilliant rock music....hell, brilliant music....period, Humble Pie was so underrated its ridiculous....love these guys
Town and country didnt get much recognition at that time, but what a great album we have still to live all those times again musically, every song fantastic. Humble pie is one of the greats in my book.
Wow, what a great song! Never heard it before. I remember being a Pie fan and getting Lost And Found and hearing those early cuts. The best era of the Pie was when they had both Marriott and Frampton.
I love that bit of “The Lodger” that Peter plays in this. This masterpiece is from the 1970 album “Humble Pie.” It was the last song on side 1…I played it sooo many times that it’d burned into my brain. Peter’s years in the Pie we’re by far my favorite for certain. No disrespect to Clem.
Jerry Shirley's comment on the documentary "Life and Time of Steve Marriott" that Peter's influence was the sweeter one. This song sums it up nicely. Lets not forget the tasty riffs he gave like the opening chords on "I Don't Need No Doctor'. What fanta stic guitar player.
You could see where Frampton was going listening to his talent. Then we know what happened next Framptons solo then one of the best highest grossing albums of that time Frampton Comes Aive. Bravo/Bravo he sure could make that Gibson Les Paul sing at times. God Bless you Sir and sorry to hear u have a disease that effects u playing guitar.. God Bless and God Speed

Wow, Frampton was a tone monster on guitar early in his career, as this track with Humble Pie shows. Can't understand why this is not a staple of classic rock FM radio.
Yea man..... This song takes me way back. It’s as great today as it was then. Many memories have been made since this.... like earth and water, it just keeps on keeping on .....

@@johnrogers9481 Unfortunately, Peter put way too much trust and responsibility directly to Dee Anthony at Bandana.
