Throughout the entire fight against Micah, I had tears in my eyes and just kept thinking “C’mon Arthur, please” even though I knew I couldn’t win. Rdr2 is the only game to make me genuinely cry. Rockstar does such a good job at building this incredible character and then they cruelly rip him away, its really heartbreaking when Arthur dies, especially to such a rat like Micah.
Rdr2 and the game before your eyes are the only 2 games to ever make me cry, it’s a very close call to which one is more emotional while rdr2 is a much better game before your eyes is a very very very emotional game that tugs at your heart strings in a way no other game has

John realised that before he died, when it was too late.

You know some people question and doubt how Micah wouldn’t shoot Arthur like how he does in his low honor ending. My theory is that he’s almost in denial. In the low honor ending, he says how Arthur isn’t better then him and shoots him. He has a excuse, because Arthur also has the status of a no good outlaw. But with the high honor ending, he knows Arthur is better then him, and shooting him would do nothing but prove that he is worse then Arthur. So instead of shooting Arthur, he storms off in a rage.

I cried when Arthur gave his horse it’s last pet, while he comforted it. And said “thank you” as it slowly drifted away. I had the Arabian horse you tame in the snow so it hard for me since I tamed it instead of buying it. Truly shows how much Arthur cared for his horse.
Logan Burge more of an emotional connection in my case, don’t get me wrong I loved John, but in rdr2 you are able to connect more to Arthur than in rdr1 with John.
When you cry for 20 minutes straight. Dutch turning on Arthur, and seeing John emerge from the woods got me tickkeddd. When my horse died I cried. When Arthur was fighting off the Pinkertons I just cried. When this song came on and I saw that deer I wept for nearly a half an hour and went into depression that whole week. Sleep tight Arthur.

@@fonfa234 Actually if you notice Hosea never once does any killings throughout the whole game he was even the first one to tell John to leave the gang in some ways Hosea did find redemption in the afterlife and Arthur was the one who did it and hell is only for those who don't feel regret for what they've done and there's plenty of dialogue that suggest he regrets everything.
I finished this game yesterday. I knew arthur was gonna die but I didnt know how. I shed a tear at the cutscene. I kept my arthur clean, had the max honor and tried to do everything to help others. I felt so sorry for my horse, Emma, I wish she made it out. I have to finish the epilogue but this game has really got me thinking over these past few days Edit: Finished the game. The hardest pill to swallow is that Arthur lost in the end just like Micah said because of Red Dead Redemption's ending. Not only did John die but Jack ended up playing the idiot's game just like his dad and as a result became an outlaw.

@@billylaam389 Nah, both things are realistic, but it just depends on how you were in the game, the "good ending" is where micah realizes that Arthur was a good person, so he decides to leave him in peace for his Last moments, but in The "Bad ending" micah says: "you're not Better than me"
Micah knows Arthur was a Bad person, killing decent people, thats why he decides to kill him in that way because he knows he's a Bad person, he doesn't deserve a "peaceful" death.

Dutch was a dad of a dying family. He couldn’t stop progression in a world that didn’t want him anymore, no matter how much he did, no matter who he stepped on, he just wanted to keep the spark going
Arthur was just a guy trying to help his family as much as he could but unlike Dutch, he came to terms that the world he once knew was dying and it was time to accept his fate
With the ones he saw as family leave him to die, he stares at the rising sun slowly perishing to the disease inflicted on him due to what his old ways put him through. In that moment Arthur felt true change, change in himself
The thing that’s pretty cool though is you can hear Hosea’s voice in the song

@@fonfa234 Actually if you notice Hosea never once does any killings throughout the whole game he was even the first one to tell John to leave the gang in some ways Hosea did find redemption in the afterlife and Arthur was the one who did it and hell is only for those who don't feel regret for what they've done and there's plenty of dialogue that suggest he regrets everything.

I finished this game yesterday. I knew arthur was gonna die but I didnt know how. I shed a tear at the cutscene. I kept my arthur clean, had the max honor and tried to do everything to help others. I felt so sorry for my horse, Emma, I wish she made it out. I have to finish the epilogue but this game has really got me thinking over these past few days

The hardest pill to swallow is that Arthur lost in the end just like Micah said because of Red Dead Redemption's ending. Not only did John die but Jack ended up playing the idiot's game just like his dad and as a result became an outlaw.
Jack also buried his mom too.. he was on his own and then went after Edgar ross. Filled him with lead. Then walked away.
