I left my federal govt job in 2018, after 30 yrs and 3 weeks, to pursue real estate and renovation. I passed the real estate exam only 2 months prior. I had a moment where I knew it was time. I'm not old enough to get a pension either, but no way was I staying there undervalued and unappreciated another day. I prayed for permission, then I dipped. People think faith is the absence of fear, but I say it's feeling the fear and doing it anyway because you know God has you covered. You don't have to see the other side; just know that he'll catch you before you crash, and he will help you prosper. And the blessings...whew chile! I thought I was good at dreaming. He continues to blow my mind. Onward....

My wife passed from cancer in 2015 after a long struggle. At the time she was only 60,I was 62. I worked overnights at the time and after she passed I had to ask myself was I happy with the thought of keeping my job and it dawned on me no, so I took a deep breath, resigned and moved back to Florida and be able to be closer to my daughter. Little did I know I was offered a position at the sales office and sell homes in a 55 + community in complex I live in. Never did I know or think about selling homes. So true we don't know what the future can hold. So, now I am retired and feel complete. And, now I am loving the crafting with many different areas. My newest of course my Cricut. So it's people like you and Jennifer who I follow to learn all I can. Today my daughter was here and set up my new Cricut Joy. I also love working making tumblers. So journey has been wonderful. Good and bad. God bless.

As a 17 yr educator, l absolutely, 100% get it. I have that same anxiety when July hits. My mom purchased the first and second cricut machines ever made. You know the one with cartridges. She made everything under the sun from cards to banners adn gift boxes. Unfortunately, she passed away and never opened the second Cricut. Last summer, finally opened to see what this crafting was all about. I went to YT and realized it was an old outdated version. But low and behold, l saw videos about a new Cricut that could everything her old ones did plus more. So tha summer, l got the Cricut bug and have not looked back since.

Thank you so much for sharing your story! God led me to this story time for a reason. I stepped out on faith and decided to start crafting/ creating. I told myself I'd wait until I retired to be fully into it, but God had other plans.I was in a wreck on the job, not my fault. And with only 1 year 1/2 left until my retirement, due to work restrictions they let me go. I too worked in the school district here, but had been a bus driver for 26 1/2 years. My husband and I didn't know how we'd make it, whew.. But God! I've been out of work a little over a year now and God has definitely kept us.
He always knows what is best for us. He knew what you needed before you did. Thank you for listening to Him. Continue to follow Him and may you continue to have much success in ALL that you do!!❤

Shew weee Ms. Delonda!! That precious letter your daughter gave you had me CRYING!! What a sweet, encouraging, smart, beautiful and amazing child you have raised! And you can tell how proud she is of her Mommy! Thank you for sharing this journey with us bc I have been STRUGGLING with exactly what you’re talking about in this video!! I want to start crafting FULL TIME, but I have made it to one step… that’s making the items. I haven’t set up a SM page to sell or teach or anything and I have my reasons for holding back, but they’re EXCUSES.. invalid, tbh… I’m my own worst critic but I’ve got to put more faith in myself and God bc I’m at a job full time that my heart just isn’t in. I’d love to be home crafting and doing the things I want, but I just can’t afford to quit my job right now. I am going to take the necessary steps I need to in order to work towards my goal of being able to quit and do what I love! Sorry for the “novel” comment lol. I just really want to say I admire your courage and trust in God and I wish you continued success with your page, crafting and life! Proud of you!! Keep kicking butt!! 💪🏽♥️

No way I watch most of them! How Cool! How much fun was that! I am mildly disable now so walking is a challenge so crafting was my first outlet and closer to Christmas I will do some for my family even if I know some of them will store them away. Then last CHRISTmas my son bought me a Cricut. Now I have purpose! I will make those same gifts personal with my Cricut. I also have printers and heat presses for cups, tumblers, and shirts with CHRISTian quotes, but when there eyes have read the quote, there's that seed planted. I also have a my youngest daughter about to ring the bell at a hospital in St. Louis. I thanked God for her healing the minute I heard the diagnosis. So much more to that.......

    Hello Delonda,
I'm so glad to hear your story. I had almost the same scenario as you did. Only I was still hesitant about leaving even after
I had worked for 42 years for the same company. I went back and forth about retiring from my employer. What really helped me to make up my mind was after I had to deal with COVID 19. After I got better and went back to work, I felt like I was just
going through the motion. So after much praying and discussions with my family, I finally gave my notice and have been retired now for 2 years. I'm so glad that now I have the time to devote as much time as I want to crafting. I had a Cricut Machine that sat in the box for at least 4-5 months-then I found your channel and I am glad you are dedicated to helping
others to get better in their creative ventures. I always remember what my mom used to say "the hardest job to do is the
you don't WANT to do"!!! Thank you again for all of you spirit and sharing your experiences with others.

Hi Delonda! My name is Marijune. I just watched your story and I wanted to tell you how much you’ve inspired me. I’m a fellow crafter. Not an expertise in any way but I do enjoy creating with my hands and sharing it with others. I feel when I make something with my hands for someone, it’s a piece of my heart I gift along with whatever I make. And that brings me great joy! I’ve been watching a lot of your videos as I’ve recently got into sublimation. My true passion is singing/performing but at my age, my background, it’s a really hard community to be a part of. Partly because I have four kids and they were my priority since they were born so all my energy went to raising them. They’re grown now, all graduated HS and out spreading their wings and I find myself now searching for my purpose. Watching you tell your story in such an authentic way, I was really touched by it. You said a lot of things that spoke loudly to me and I wanted to say THANK YOU! I’m excited to get myself out there and share who I am, the gift I’ve been giving and to bless myself and hopefully others with what God has in store for me. Maybe one day, I’ll get to meet you. You’re really funny! Thanks again.

Delonda, I needed to hear your story today. I’ve been going through this same situation, except mine was real estate. Thank you for helping me understand I’m not crazy. All Jon Gordon’s books are just as good as”The Seed”. Thank you

This video was Amazing, your journey will always be Blessed by God. Thank you so much for sharing, I will be purchasing the book. The fact that your husband and your daughter supported you through this journey is a Blessing in itself. I unfortunately don't have support from my husband. But I'm still praying and will continue to pray. God is my strength and he will always make a way for me. Thank you again. Be Blessed.

I can truly understand and can relate, my heart and mind is not either and I currently work with kiddos for a after school program. I've worked for them back 04 to 08 and went back in 2017, things are so different and I get it, things change, but being back at this company has burned me in many ways I couldn't imagine. I had a goal but I end up putting it on the back burn for this job. Now it's going to be six years in Dec, I feel like I am on Auto Pilot going back to work last week. Why? because of finances, when I know for fact that if I take a step out on faith God will guide my husband and I to financial stability. Dealing with this job and a previous job has made me stress more than ever and not only that, 2020 and life itself has made my anxiety and depression spiral out of control. But for the company I go to it and give it my 100% because of the kids. I just feel it's time for me to really go though because the company really irritates my peace and mind and that's stressful. Sorry listening to your story is making me realize a lot. Thank you and Congratulations again Delonda 🎉🎉
