I had a friend from Hyderabad watch this and explain the Hotel situation to me.
The hotel owners were trying to tell you that they cannot rent you a room. The government only allows foreigners to rent from certain hotels that are considered "safe" and meet a standard that the government considers a high enough standard for foreign tourists. One of them seems to be Hotel Indus as they mentioned it more than once. The one place that was going to accommodate you was charging you that high rate so that they could cover the fine from the government if they got caught. The others likely assumed you were sent by the government with a camera to catch them so the government could fine them if they rented you a room.
Thanks for explaining. It makes sense. The government protecting foreigners
I don't think is that dangerous like it would be in United States or Mexico or any other country 🙄 sounded racist

Hey there Kurt, glad that you are in Pakistan and I hope you enjoy your visit. I would have welcomed you in my house if I was in Pakistan. One thing about those hotels that you were taken to in the start, those hotels are not allowed to give rooms to foreigners because the city has assigned better hotels for foreigners for their own security (even though there is not a security threat, they just make this extra effort specially for the guests of this country. It is unfortunate that no one knew English and no one was able to explain you this rule (except the first guy, who did explain but in a bad way and bad pronunciations)
I really hope you enjoy (or enjoyed) your visit in Pakistan !!
Islamic extremism is real. Just imagine the danger Kurt would be in if he was wearing a Cross or they knew he was Christian since most Muslims from the east just associate all white western people with being Christian. Pakistan has some of the highest religious discrimination in the entire world.
Many Hindus, Christians and sikhs live in Pakistan in peace. They have places of worship that are taken care of by the government too.

To all who are saying they think these guys are homosexuals, you guys are wrong. Not all hotels are allowed to host foreigners in Pakistan. So thats why they were saying no. Thats all.
what is the reason?
@@rafisqiadhaputra6136 in recent past Pakistan had to deal with terrorism but its much safer now, we dont have much tourists here, for the ones who come to Pakistan they must have some sort of security.
