This song, this song in particular, has been an achor point for me during times of stress and uncertainty. It's a companion and I feel like I 'get' the message it sends. Thanks, Ólafur.
Great to read your comment. I too have found it to be an anchor. Sometimes I just listen to it over and over for a long time. It feels new yet comfortably familiar every time I hear it.
Me too ❤️
Same! Ólafur managed to build a community of connection out of his art 🖤
Ólafur's song called Saman (sunrise session 2 does what you are saying to me). Very interesting
Your comment is as beautiful as this song 💜
Imagining the Camera-Train running through the railroad tracks, in blue-red-orange; a multitude of colors, of hands extending from the windows, of smiles, of cultures, a multitude of worlds for You, for Me... Thank you.
Who else loves trains and Olafur's music? Thanks for the ride, it was beautiful.
I do airplanes, but yes, it's perfect. Something about floating into the sky on the bed of this beauty.
Oh yes! Looking out of the window from a moving train, at a rainy day and listening Olafur: there's nothing much better ;-)
was just going to say that "he's got a train set! then i realized it was for the camera, lol

Just finished mixing and my ears were so fatigued and this comes up to remind me what music should sound like. Thank you !
I could be listening to this song hours and hours. I can't put into words the feeling, the peace of mind that I feel listening to it. Thank you so much.

Your music, Ólafur, is sustaining my soul and the embodied memory of all that is good and beautiful today. Thank you ...
This man is unreal...his music brings me so much peace I love it .
Thanks Olafur for keeping real music alive.
trying to play this with my very limited piano ability reveals the beauty of the composition, just lovely.
If the world listened to Olafur, this planet would be such a better place..
I love this song
I've been listening to your music for many years know. Back then I was a teenager, deeply affected by depression and suicidal ideation. But now having grown up I just wanted to thank you for sharing your musical gift with us and making this world a somewhat better place. I very much appreciate your talent and wish you every blessing God can give you. You are one of the sources of inspiration when I first started to learn playing piano. Thank you,
Light and peace. I love It, thank you Arnald. And your piano.. it's wonderful!

Totalmente increíble, me encanta la suavidad de la melodía, me envuelve y transporta a un lugar donde la contaminación de este mundo aun no lo ha corrompido. 😌

It is so beautiful, I can't explain how calm your music brings me. I love to dance to your songs. Greetings from Colombia.
Wonderful
masterpiece
Dark, covered sounds of the mics. Nice work. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
thank you
I met Olafur years ago when he was playing a set at a techno club as Kiasmos ... and then I felt there was something else about this boy! I will never forget a concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London 💙💙💙
Thanks for your music.......billion thanks from heart......greet from Malaysia
Great composition, the camera-angle is really amazing too!
This song soothed me when I was alone and far away from my family and friends. Greetings from Indonesia
🙏🙏❤️🙏🙏so many emotions in me ... lightness, grace, sensitivity .. beauty .. thank you🙏🙏 .
wow
In love with your music. Absolutamente preciosa cada una de ellas. Congrats
Mr. Arnalds hat zurecht so viele Abonnenten. Schön, dass er seiner "Arbeit" nachgehen kann... Das ist einfach wunderschöne Musik.
This piece never ceases to move me - it reaches deep into my core - expressing a feeling that has no words - a deep longing- melancholy beauty that aches and yearns - exquisite
Lost a friend and mentor this year to cancer. Sitting at home after his service I spent some time with this on repeat.
No matter what happens there will remain an indescribable beauty in life and all of its unique experiences that make the journey worth it. Even in loss.
To be here at all and able to feel anything so deeply is a rare opportunity in itself.
Beautiful, of course, Olafur... :) Greetings from Poland
This is so beautiful and peaceful, i like to learn to play Olafur Arnalds songs on my piano.
Thanks Olafur to create such wonderful melodies...
Ólafur I cannot tell how greatly your composing and play improved the past years. I'd first seen you in Erlangen in 2010 and it was a remarkably brilliant concert, but seeing and hearing what you're capable nowadays is just topping everything! I am really grateful for living in the same timline as you do :)
peaceful
it sounds like a feeble sun shining through grey clouds and a butterfly floating midair.
So simple yet so beautiful and profound. TY - Even tho I'm arising late this morning from heavy sleeping as I see it I will know that I contain multitudes just like so many others out there and also that man is capable of so much, an infinite number of natural wonders within him/her. Such that (it) can be fully expressed thru the music of a thousand points of light. Wonderful - thank you so much for providing the fulcrum to my dreams and for resetting the bar for all. 👌🏻 Picture of Perfection on Earth. TY ❤️
❤❤❤
Medicine and healing for the soul
Thank you for your wonderful music, Ólafur 💙
🙏😇
How can something be so nice ?
just a genius
❤️
this is so cool
At 10 sec I already know it's gonna be good
İlaç gibisiniz 😍
I would love love love to film some of my music just like this. The cinematography is so complimentary to this style :)
I puked a few times seeing I'm so dizzy now but it was still a soothing experience! Thanks, Ólafur!
very nice
儚い
Those fuzzy socks are a mood
This is so simple yet so beautiful and soulful. Does anybody have an idea how he manages to make the piano sound so subtle and soft? I do not see additional felt there...
I would really like to get this album.... Some kind of peace
why am i crying?
i love you!!!!!!!! :33333
🙏🏿 ❤️ ♾
For years now I want to know what kind of piano this is :) Does someone know ? (excuse my very bad english). Thanks Olafur for the moment, this music and those colors.
NPR music states it is a pianette. Check out his tiny desk session on their page - they describe it in their description box. ✌🏽
@@Rubylove48 Incredible :O How can I missed this ! I'm not sure but I think Agnès Obel uses the same instrument :) A "pianette", lovely, thank you very much :)
@@camilleluc1183 you’re welcome 😇
Why do I think that the cold is our ether? Tranquility is our staff and peace is our redemption after leaving the crude and primitive nature of our being.
Thank you.
So peaceful! Beautiful sound!
What's the brand and the height of this piano?
❤💌❤
Anyone know what make piano that is? Sounds gorgeous
It's really the microphones making it sound so good. A pair of Coles and KM84s
NPR music states it is a Danish pianette. Check out his tiny desk session on their page - they describe it in their description box. ✌🏽
@@t1merickson Yeah, like you take a good microphone and a bad piano and suddenly it sounds great
From how much i know this is called the Felt Upright Piano, and specific thing about them is that in between the hammers and the strings is a thin but long piece of felt (which is mostly the textile material) that is used to dampen the sound of the hammers hitting the strings which creates the 'old' or muffled sound to it. And if you get someone like Olafur to play it, that sound like magic.
@@alekzy2179 this upright isn’t felted
Music as cozy as your socks.
pocos hacen de su creación un mudra, un espejo de agua
its making dizzy hehe
Absolutely lovely. But just can't help imagining the squeaking from the keys is a wonky wheel on the 'train' that needs a drop of oil :) Beautiful piece, though
