He handled everything well but should have recorded everything his toxic family said at his door after the court case. He should file for a restraining order. .like yesterday.

Plot twist: OP is an affair child or child from a previous relationship of his mom which is why his family hates him. Maybe Marcos' father stole his mother from OP's bio dad.

How can people condone wrong? Adultery is wrong on all levels! So being an adult means that you don't have feelings.

We all need to stop being the bigger person, going along to get along, falling for crocodile tears, and guilt trips. It’s time to make a guilty pay for being guilty and not covering up for them just to get along or to save face.

Generally speaking, "being the bigger person", "keeping the peace", etc. requires that one or more family members metaphorically bend over and grab their ankles.

sue your family right back and your ex and while put in an ORDER OF PROTECTION, change your last name. it'll drive them nuts to know you disowned them all.

@@anubratadas4911 Sorry to burst your bubble, but family doesn't need anything resembling a reason to mistreat somebody. Even if that were the case, a reason does NOT equal an excuse.
This may sound like a bad Hallmark channel movie, but it's a true story. A guy in my hometown found out after his parents passed away that he was indeed an affair baby. His parents went through a bad patch, split up, then got back together. His dad was actually able to forgive his mom, and raised him as his own. Had they not left a letter for him, he would have never have known. IIRC if there had been any medical issues for him or his kids the parents were going to tell him, and the bio dad was willing to discreetly provide a DNA sample.

So... they're receiving alimony and want MORE? Just leave the country and start over somewhere else.

My father divorced his first wife due to her alcoholism. He voluntarily paid generous support to her and his kids. And she was drinking it up at the local bar- her drink of choice was Manhattans. She took him to court for more support. And he ended up paying exactly what the law required based on his income, the number of kids, etc. Yep- he had been paying more voluntarily than the court ordered him to. Sucks to be you, Helen.

@@jcarter6213 As if any of that would excuse the parents' behavior. Why do so many people think that if you can come up with a logical reason to do something bad, that reason magically transforms into an excuse?

If you tolerste a cheater, then you are no better than they are. Cheating is the ultimate relationship ender. Bro should've gotten a restraining order and cameras at his house. The wouldnt be able to lie if its all in video.

Moral of the story: Get a burner phone, and use that to communicate with your affair partner.
