Great video! I lived in Cuenca a while and am struggling whether I should go to Cuenca or Panama where I have a lot of friends since I was stationed there from87-91
@@PremiumLeo I have been there many times since I was stationed there. I was going to retire there, but it exploded. Infrastructure cant keep up, prices are way too high etc. I have about 8 years on/off here in Colombia and while I have to leave for about a year as my visa is up, this is where I intend to get my residency. Am struggling to decide whether to go to Cuenca, Panama (alot of my friends are not getting younger and I do wish to see them one last time at least) or Nicaragua, which is actually a good place too
@@jackwalker9492 An option is to do a week/month in each place now, and see if you like it. Our emotions are very finicky and can be all over the place depending on our wants/needs/etc. But doing a short-burst of a place to see if it keeps up with your needs is worth a try. I plan to do medellin and then back to lima later this year

Some veteran travelers get all cocky rather than trying to help others out. I am going to punch out to Cuenca. Nice place prices are too cheap. I will get my residency in Colombia in about a year.
