your father should have went through his insurance and had them subrogate. same happened to me 10 years ago. guy in front of me backed up in the middle of the rode because he missed his turn. his insurance took his side but i did a claim with mine and we fought it. got my money back!
So far it works great. FM sound is shitty. BT sound is flawless. I have an old car with a single DIN modern radio. it connects to that perfectly. 78 Chevy C20 has android auto.

Quick question: Do you know how high the screen is above the base, meaning the gap between the bottom point of the screen from base? The reason I ask is my 2015 C300 Mercedes has a fixed screen where the top end of it is about 4 inches above the dash. If I have to place it on my dash, I may lose visibility of a part of the Apple CarPlay screen.
I have a civic very similar to yours, so I was curious where you ended up mounting yours and how you mounted it did you mount it from the dash or with a section cup on the windshield? Also, I was curious if you could make a video where you install the review camera thanks.
I installed this on my golf cart and everything is working great, my only issue is that the audio from my phone is going straight to my bluetooth speaker so I dont have any volume control from this unit. I thought I would be able to BT out from this unit to my speaker, but when I go to the BT transmit screen it tells me to connect my phone directly to the speaker. It does not even give me a list of device to choose my bluetooth speaker.
Can I use the factory bluetooth of my car while using google maps on the unit through wifi? If so can I change songs through spotify on android auto while the audio is connected to the bluetooth of the car? I ask because audio quality is important for me. Thanks

Will I be able to connect my android phone to it and connect the device to my car via Bluetooth so Spotify will play through the car speakers?

Ive seen that this has a FM transmitter for cars that dont have aux or Bluetooth, i have a 05 explorer so i dont have either so the fm transmitter will be perfect but ive heard its not the best option to use in other words poor quality. Can anyone confirm that?

The wire for the reverse camera is just to trigger the screen to show the feed from that camera when your reverse lights come on.

It should work. Not sure on the fm radio signal though if you will have bad connection if you do use audio that way

There may be some small static depending on the station but it’s still acceptable
