Canadian composer and music educator, Donna Rhodenizer, has created three volumes of original singing games for young singers.
Donna’s new singing games are fresh and fun. They provide a variety of songs with similar foundational skills and concepts can be internalized, isolated, labelled, and practiced so students have new musical examples while practicing specific concepts.
The singing games in this series:
• Create opportunities for play-based learning experiences for young singers in music classrooms and vocal studios.
• Refresh and update foundational singing games.
• Provide scores both for teacher and student use.
• Give clear and easy-to-follow game instructions.
• Provide adaptations and options for use with large and small groups as well as with individual students.
• Offer teaching tips and pedagogical insights.
• List intended melodic and rhythmic focus and suggested grade/age ranges.
Donna has also compiled Welcome Songs, Greeting Songs and Name-learning songs and games. The collection includes songs and game across K-5 grade levels. This is a GREAT addition to music classroom and vocal studio music resources.
