I Went there several times in '77 and '78 as a 16/17 year old deckhand sailing on a Dutch coaster,i liked the pubs around the Docks a lot and the girls were nice and pretty,England was our favorite destination 🇫🇴
haha driving down to sainsburys on prenton road! this video has made my day... nice to see a few things that have only just changed in the past couple of years.
I lived in Bell Road for ten years , you see it when you come out of the garage , shop on the corner . All those years living there and I only ever went into that shop about 3 times ha ha ha .
I too had one of those first cameras (a big camera and an almost as big battery pack that went over your shoulder). I wish I would have kept the tapes. Only one was saved and it's fun to look back and see the fashions and the kids when they were little.
@karenro1 thanks for your kind words I have still got the JVC Camera and recorder, they still work My Dad has filmed my kids every year on modern camcorders, since they were born ,there now 20 and 23 yrsold
I remember the The Four Bridges being cobble stoned with tram lines like this. I had a moped in the 1980's and got my wheel stuck in the tram line on way to Wallasey, I managed to bounce the bike out of the groove safely! Great video was it a cine camera or one of the first camcorders?
@andybb. Thankyou for your reply, I can vaguely remember that type of early day camcorder when I was at school. I thought you may have had one of the later cine cameras with sound. Out of curiousity what year was it and what was the car you were filming from?
I live right near the petrol station. Memories of the blue corner shop take me back. Thank you for posting 👍

That blue shop on the corner at the start, that's my nans road, always got sweets from there!
I recognized Bell Road shop from the thumbnail. I lived in Walsingham Road opposite that shop from 1968 to 1978
i worked on tower road bridge 1988 when it was taken out and the dock filled in to form a road. Weird now seeing it back then.

Judging by the vehicles this must be early 1980's.

Well if it was filmed in the 80's why is Sainsbury's there at the end? It opened in 1982.
@@SierraLeoneballMapping Because it was filmed in the 80s which includes that date
@@andybb It could've been filmed during construction of Sainsbury's.
What year in the 1980s was this filmed? I live just down the road in Ellesmere Port.
what year was this filmed?
