Love it. I’m actually shocked that this was so close because of how Rob threw down in each category. How did he lose breakfast?! The breakfast sandwich is an iconic choice and a bomb breakfast sandwich…what’s better than that for breakfast?! Fried chicken for lunch & pizza for dinner? Feels like this should have been a blowout in favor of Rob. Zero shade to Julian- such a big fan and admirer of all his food picks generally. He’s introduced me to so much good dishes that are now staples! But, for me, Rob had this episode 💯 in each category. Best series on the internet! Congrats on another episode, fellas!

John's Roast Pork is probably more to your taste - the pork is more heavily spiced as well as juicier. Also one of the best cheesesteaks in the city FWIW.
Nan Zhou is literally one of my regular places for lunch ... and THAT is one of my orders, exactly. Also the intestine noodle soup :)
Rob! Your story 100% gave you the win. That was a genius move. I think the votes went the way I’d have gone, except for dinner. Those noodles and the cucumber. Man. Julian, you need to go tougher on Rob. Maybe I’m wrong, but the tourist trap one would have been tough.

Pop’s off Broad on Oregon has the best water ice in the city, on a sweltering summer day nothing beats their lemon water ice with the bits of lemon in it, so delicious and refreshing
John’s on 7th and Christian is great too

I feel like the price has to be more of a concideration. Rob had 2 meals under 10 bucks. That's gotta mean something right? Extra points for the cheaper meal in each category maybe? I don't know. This is a really fun show though. Keep it up!
We have toyed with the idea of extra $ going towards the point total but it wouldn’t feel good to win on a technicality

Love this episode, this show feels like Jet Lag but for food and I am down for that. I am a college student in Philly and I feel you guys really showed off some good places and not just the typical touristy locations. The Daily Specials seem like a good way to showcase places that meet certain dietary restrictions

I like the choices you guys make with the food. Definitely playing it safe at times, but I'd rather you guys pick food that "plays it safe" that you're are actually excited about eating than just trying to pick the most out there foods to gain points

Damn Rob, the maple sausage and egg biscuit looks crazy good. Julian the Thit Kho Hash look looks amazing. I’ve been wanting to go to that Roast Pork spot. When you guys are back in Philly, stop by Saads and grab a chicken maroosh sandwich. One of the best sandwiches in Philly. And John's Water Ice is the "go to spot" .

Loving it so far! One thing that sucks is the audience judges only by how good the dish looks. I know we cant taste it but it’s hard to decide whose food is better based off of just a picture.

I really like the format, editing, and the personalities. I came to this from Martinez's channel and I appreciate you taking a risk with that young man's pizza place, and the risk of creating a new channel when you two are already established otherwise.
You guys aren't playing it safe in terms of picking only popular internet visual foods. In terms how to change it up to keep it fresh? I am at a loss. Maybe a wild card if someone is ahead significantly they need to get two challenges for dinner? Picking places that you haven't been to at least once per episode would be good. I cannot recall if Mu did that, but Martinez obviously did with the pizza spot.

As a true Philadelphian I really liked this jawn. I recognized the location of almost shot, even the cat on the street.
I live a couple blocks from Honeysuckle Provisions but have only been there once cuz it's too spendy. Doro Bet is world-class delicious. You call this area little Africa. Africatown is actually further SW, around 55th and Chester although 45th & Baltimore Avenue has a half dozen Ethiopian restaurants within a couple blocks.
Brisket sandwich Rachel style at Herschel's (Reading Terminal) rocks my mouth every time.
If Julian would have went with Herschel's pastrami sandwich instead of the roast pork, he would have easily won

As somebody with a life threatening nut allergy, it would be far more interesting if the entire restaurant had to be free of nuts or seafood or whatever. (Not just the selected dish) Then it might be a place I could go!

@MartinezandMu You haven't been insensitive at all! I just think it would be a more engaging show for everyone if those challenges were more realistic, especially when the other cards seem to be more difficult.
A good spot for a breakfast sandwich - Small Oven Pastry Shop & Porco's Porchetteria in Point Breeze around 22nd & Washington.

not sure if you have this on your list of daily specials but a fun low stakes one might be you have to ask a stranger what their fav place in the city is for lunch/dinner and you have to go where they suggest. Obviously this is dependent on a ton of factors and safety etc of approaching strangers but i feel like it could lead you guys to some interesting places
I vote for chaos in the queens episode. Of course, people still don't know about queens yet worldwide, so there's lots of classic spots to go to, but I want something crazy- if there's anyone on RUclips who can pull that off, it's you guys.

You were right THERE! You ALMOST got the Pastrami Reuben from Herschel's East Side Deli, which is my favorite red meat sandwich now-a-days. Better than the Angelo's cheesesteak. Better luck next time.
I’ve had great water ice in Manayunk and South Philly. Best pairing is water ice and a soft pretzel with mustard.

From 48th & Baltimore I would have gone a few blocks over to Saad's Halal at 45th and Walnut for a lamb shwarma Maroosh way... nothing better in this city!

Nan Zhou has some other cold dishes that are pretty special and unique and fun to try. If you go back, try the cold shredded potatoes and the spicy pig ear
