Im a polynesian who is currently doing my doctorate in applied chemistry. It is very rare to see any of us in this industry. No one thought id make it this far but i kept on doing what i do and here i am. I started out in logan, never be afraid to break the mould.

Douglas St is where the Tongans and aboriginals had the beef. Aboriginal boy named Jackson lost his life at loganlea train station. They blamed the Tongans ( palau family) for pushing him off the platform. And that's where it all started. Now days 41 is calm. #woodz4114 love my hometown🏡

australians definition of the most "Dangerous" suburbs seems to be dependent on how many brown people reside in an area. Logan seems super chill in comparison to the majority of "hoods" globally especially compared to most hoods over the Tasman..
Logan is chill as ... People talk it up as dangerous but you have to go out ya way being a gronk to have any trouble. Fact is there aren't any hoods in Brisso that are "Dangerous" anymore.

I agree I remember in 1994 saw murders alot of stabbings and I've been there on and off for 36 years.
It's heaps tame compared to back in the day

The people in Logan are real. There are so many good decent folks living here.
This was only a small glimpse of Logan but definitely a good eye opener for people who don’t know 💯 a lot of stories don’t make it to the media, but James was right I travelled from Logan to gc for school and didn’t know Logan was bad until the teachers would make criminal jokes to me lol I was confused at first because i was so blind to the fact that Logan was a bad place to go for people on the outside of it 😂
And James was right about the murders you definitely gotta come back for a part 2… only at the end of last year a Fijian bloke got done for offing his own dad in marsden.. and a couple of years ago a png bloke decapitated his misso in crestmead.
I too was none the wiser of how rough Logan was . I grew up in shailer park and I always thought it was fine . Until I went back being an adult and realising I actually grew up in the hood lol

I lived my whole life literally a 5 min drive from Logan central and only actual people from Logan know this but where I've lived, Daisy Hill, it's a completely different world. The suburbs you mentioned are all on the west side of the highway but on the east side its completely different it's honestly just weird how you can drive from daisy hill to Woodridge and even if you know absolutely nothing about Logan you'll notice a difference like it's day and night. No one from my side of the highway can ever really claim they're from the hood, and if anyone tried to rep one of the eastern suburbs of Logan like it's the hood they'd get call out on it real quick, we really can't claim to have had it tough on this side haha

Tbh it’s good to see someone other than Spanian doing it for the simple reason Spanian brings a lot of hype, when Spanian come to mt druitt EVERYONE knew he was coming and was planning to run a mad muck, therefore not getting a proper in-sight to what the area is like on a day to day basis
Logan is mild compared to Mt Druitt you boys need to go down there haha
Shalvey is like miniature compared to Woodridge tho even Wilmot, Bidwill small as hoods.. Woodridge is a big hood and tausaga only walked thru 10% of Woodridge

Bro i was legit on the streets with my dad in Woodridge as young as i can remember. It changed alot now. Is all ice was 'h' back then. Have so many hurtful memories. Legit still remember my dad getting jumped by 10 blokes at the traino sleeping in the skatepark. If only people knew. So glad to be where im at and doing what im doing. My daughter is in logan but just cant bring myself to go back there.
I grew up near Woodbridge many years ago it was rough back then, but seeing the bars/security screens reminds me of Otara STH Auckland.

I grew up in Logan myself was a Waterford boy though but remember Woodridge so well. Hasn't changed much since I last visited 7 yrs ago. The local news agent shop on the main road was the bomb back in the day. You also missed a few suburbs bro Browns plains,park ridge, Waterford, Acacia ridge, Creastmed and Marsden. Cheers for this vid bro brings back some memories. Hope you do a part two thanks.

I use to live in slacks creek for 30 years, never had a problem. It's who you associate with is what creates the issue. As a kid rode my bike through logan never an issue.

I was half way through purchasing management rights of a unit complex in Defiance Rd back in 2003 when a guy murdered 3 of his kids in unit 26! I moved in a week before to learn the ropes but luckily, I was able to get out of the contract because I sure as hell couldn’t live there after that happened 😔

Been in Kingston over a year now from Sydney. Besides the junkies around and the theft happening it’s really not that bad. I worked at the local mall doing seci. People are a lot friendlier around here then other upper class areas. If you keep your head down you won’t even notice what’s going on.

Everyone going on about copying Spanian… faaark up 😂 Spanian wasn’t the first to do Hood Vlogs. He probably got the idea from someone else too. TFS Podcast in NZ was doing hood vlogs over a year ago. Spanian only started posting his ones a few months ago. People in the US been doing hood vlogs for ages too. Shoutout to Spanian though, he definitely made them popular here in Aus.

The area has a big opportunity with the inclusion of the Souths Logan Magpies to become something great. There needs to be respect of other cultures to keep the peace. I grew up in Inala in the 70’s and 80’s and it was tough but most the times there was peace between the different cultures. Logan with the Polynesian community could become rugby league heartland and do some great things similar to what Penrith and the Penrith panthers have achieved
