I still think that buying s24 ultra is better since most of these features are software updates which will come eventually. I brought asus rog ally 6 months ago and didn't know about what ai frame generation is. When i first discovered it and added this feature to red dead redemption 2 to my frame rate jumped from 55 to 120 fps. It was like magic brought out 8 year old child happiness in me. If you can, wait till S26, they may upgrade their main sensor this time since all their current sensors have issue with moving subjects causing a lot of blur. I'm not sure if they will upgrade it, but they usually follow a 3-year cycle for major sensor upgrades. If you are really adamant about an upgrade, just get the s24u. There's barely any difference between s25 and s24.
How long do Samsung users get out of a phone. My S22 is just over 2 years and there are great deals on S25 with trade in. Any users have an opinion about waiting another year or snagging a $450 S24?

They already have something similar to what Log does its there expert raw software I believe with the newer phones its in the camera app natively and you still have pro mode which outputs raw image.

the reason why Exynos chips run hot and have battery drain issues is because of samsung foundry remember sd888 and gen1 were made by samsung foundry and they had heating issues so if tsmc makes the Exynos chips they'll be just as good as snapdragon chips
They should focus on software, especially camera software. "Just use pro mode, bro" tactics should not be acceptable at this price range. Shutter lag is as present on S24 series as it was on S7. Less and less people I know (myself included) that were diehard Samsung fans are buying their flagships. Competition is light years ahead

Honestly doesn't matter how powerful S25 Ultra is without adequate heat management, you will *always* get throttling in a small device that has only passive cooling available. Kind of pointless unless you can sustain the performance level over long periods.

@rj_ofb S22 U is a beast still and gets update for more than 2 years next l, also you can change the battery next year and then keep it a year or so or make a bit of optimization there are many channels in RUclips and you save a lot of battery.

There are Android phones out there with SD 8 elite chipset and 6500 or 7000 mah batteries, for half the price of s24 ultra. That is why Android is the best, we have too many good options

They dropped the ball with the battery. The Chinese handsets fixed that and are now firmly ahead of Korea and Apple in that department

Might depend on the cable. I had a more fancy one with a display that claimed to be able to do 60w or 100w something. And it was extremly slow. :/

Gameplay is already buttery smooth. The everyday scrolling experience is still choppy even on the S24 Ultra. The Google Pixel is smooth but has no GPU power. Frustrating!

There are Android phones out there with SD 8 elite chipset and 6500 or 7000 mah batteries, for half the price of s24 ultra. That is why Android is the best, we have too many good options
