You would purchase the visa sticker from several banks inside cairo Airport, and they are located just before passport control then you give it to the Egyptian officer
Question for you please--- as you were walking from the plane I noticed there were some greeters holding signs (before) you passed thru immigration. Do you know if these were tour operators? My tour agency said they would provide my Visa to me upon arrival, assuming it has to be prior to passing thru immigration...

Started in Dec 01, 2024 Visa-on-Arrival is available again for Canadian citizens. No need to apply for it at the embassy.
