How to update firmware on a Pulsar thermal or digital night vision with StreamVision

  • I will walk you through how to update the firmware on your Pulsar thermal device using their StreamVision application. This would be the same regardless of the device you have, provided it has wifi and is able to run the app. This would include Trail, Helion, Accolade, Axion, Thermion, and Digisight Ultra series.     I own the Pulsar Axion XM38 and would like to see some setup tips for brightness, contrast, focus, etc. I am aware a lot of this is personal preference, but the screen does not show the detail even though have tried both focus rings

    Looks good, though do you know of any trouble-shooting for when the pad detects the wi-fi from the Pulsar (Helion), though won't connect? I heard there was an option for updating via USB cable, though can't find any details.

    After downloading the new software on my XP50 trail, I can't pair my cel to my scope anymore. I erased the stream vision app on cel and downloaded the app once again. It appears the 3.2 update was dowloaded but I can pair them. What do you suggest?

      Shut the Stream Vision application down. In the settings of your phone go to wifi and tell it to forget the connection. Then reestablish the connection and reopen Stream Vision.

    I can not upload the recent firmware download to my Thermion XQ38. 4.7 was downloaded but I never got a notification to upload to the scope. Instead I got a notification "can not connect to this hotspot. Please do it it manual settings". I have no idea how to proceed. The Stream Vision message reads "Please connect device for uploading". When I try to connect I get the message above "Can't connect to this hotspot please do it manually in settings??? Can everyone help? Thanks in advance!

    After I did the firmware update on my pulsar XG everything is way more blurry and I tried messing with contrast but nothing is seeming to work do you have any suggestions

      I have never heard of this. All of the Thermion XG50 units I have received have had the 4.0.xxx firmware or higher installed from the factory,most with the most recent 4.2 .xxx already installed. I think the XG units were released after the 4.0 firmware release. I was also unaware that 4.2 even made any changes in the image algorithm vs 4.0so that really does seem odd. (The release notes bullet the following improvements. Improvement of the recorded file saving algorithm

    Why my pulsar n450 don't have color palettes I am from Portugal and I bought it here, it is firmware update or not

      They have never added the color palette options to the Digisight units, I don't know if this is still in the works or not.

      Tom, I don't believe that model is StreamVision compatible and therefore cannot be upgraded.

      Any device that has the ability to connect to Stream Vision application can be updated. This includes all Hellion models. Different firmware versions apply to each model, check the firmware and product resources category on www.foxoptic.com for information and a list of the most recent versions.     Where is the WiFi password for my thermion 2xp50 please.

      You can see it in the WiFi settings section of the main menu if it hasn't been changed, the default is 12345678
