Chip Conley, rebel hospitality entrepreneur and best-selling author of "Peak" and "Wisdom at Work", decided to dedicate the second half of his life to reclaiming the term "Modern Elder" and building the world's first midlife wisdom school called the Modern Elder Academy.
Arthur Brooks is a beloved professor of the Practice of Public Leadership at the Harvard Kennedy School and Professor of Management Practice at the Harvard Business School. He is the author of 12 books, including "Conservative Heart" and "Love Your Enemies". He decided to contemplate the second half of his life by writing a new book called "Strength to Strength: Finding Success, Happiness, and Deep Purpose in the Second Half of Life."
Both of them have been thinking deeply about community, the great resignation, the impacts of the pandemic, and what it means to have a purposeful life. When they have a moment to come together, you can count on lively and spirited discussions, spontaneous insights, and an engaging group discussion.
    You will learn:
-The difference between fluid and crystallized intelligence
-How to Kick our Success Addiction
-Why your professional decline is coming sooner than you think

Thanks to the amazing Rich Roll for introducing you both to me and the world (or those who have not yet been blessed to experience your genius) I''m so fueled by your talks, your info, your books and this topic... I'm a 42 year old woman in beautiful Australia.. I do have a question for you guys or anyone else who can answer... As a woman who has 3 children 26, 16, 14. I have had a very on/off career life while focusing on my beautiful children. Now i'm in my early 40s, my kids are alot more independent and i'm ready for 'me' time. But i find i'm kind of feeling in the inbetween stage of flud and crysatlline.. and with this i feel a sense of urgency which makes me freeze. Are there any women (wise women) who also work in this field, who can share their stories of how to navigate this. Thank you so much. Keep sharing your wisdom with us all . Much love

Good stuff Arthur and Chip. Loved ‘Strength to Strength’. Was my ‘breadcrumb’ trail to MEA. Chip, perhaps we meet in Baja at some point.

Fluid ➡ crystalline. Thank you for that. As someone who has experienced and studied ageism, this video was well worth my time. You are masters at clarifying issues and positing solutions. Now to put in into practice! I know a few others who can use this wisdom.
