The sister makes a good point about the types of clothes, I loved it when she said you don't have to wear middle eastern clothes because Islam is for everyone and people have different styles of clothes. It's not right to tell somebody that they should only wear middle eastern clothes🙁
Just wear some thing that cover and protect your body that's what our religion wants from us A Jelbab isn't for a middle east only it's for islam and for every muslim woman.
What's important is wearing clothes that are not tight or transparent; they should not reveal skin or detailed body shape on the area of the body that we are told to cover.

It´s the other way around though. Usually the dress code is not imposed on Muslim women (with the exception of burqa bans in some countries) but there is a social pressure inside the Muslim societies requiring women to dress as they see approriate as per Quran.
Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked about the ruling on swearing by the Mushaf. He (may Allaah have mercy on him) replied: It is not permissible to make vows or swear oaths except by Allaah or by one of His attributes. If a person swears by Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted, then there is no need to bring the Mushaf for him to swear on it, because swearing on the Mushaf was not done at the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) or at the time of the Sahaabah; even after the Mushaf was compiled in book form they did not swear on it, rather a person would swear by Allaah without swearing on the Mushaf. The woman who doesn't know about Islam is forgiven after repentance but the women who knows what Allah mentioned to cover themselves and protect the modesty if a Muslim woman fails to do it will face double panishment in after Life

Those who fight for the hijab are fighting for the chains. Hijab is a piece of cloth that was given to the women, by Muhammad, as per the request of Umer, so that they would not be identified when they went out in the open space to defecate. When He saw that women are an obstacle to his loot, murder and making women sex slaves, he wrapped them in black sack and ordered not to educate them. He asked men to beat the women, who don’t obey and made them the tillage of men. Made her powerless by making her “one in four”. Told, she had only half brain. Asked men to talaq her, at his own will. But Muslim women, realising that there is a world beyond the home in the age of the internet, picked up the book. When she started asking questions, the religious leaders and the Mahal goons were shaken. These goons want to tie muslim women along with the cows in the barn. Those who fight for the hijab are fighting for the shackles of the Muslim female community. Islam does not respect women’s education, freedom, and rights. Enough is enough. Hijab is the symbol of slavery. O, ye women, you have nothing to loose, fight for freedom. Burn Hijabs. Quit Islam!!!

Praise to God for a Living Hope
3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 6In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith-of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire-may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
10Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, 11trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow. 12It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

13Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. 14As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” a
17Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear. 18For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, 19but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 20He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. 21Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.
22Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart. b 23For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. 24For,
“All people are like grass,
and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,
25but the word of the Lord endures forever.” c
And this is the word that was preached to you.

It´s the other way around though. Usually the dress code is not imposed on Muslim women (with the exception of burqa bans in some countries) but there is a social pressure inside the Muslim societies requiring women to dress as they see approriate as per Quran.

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked about the ruling on swearing by the Mushaf.
He (may Allaah have mercy on him) replied: It is not permissible to make vows or swear oaths except by Allaah or by one of His attributes. If a person swears by Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted, then there is no need to bring the Mushaf for him to swear on it, because swearing on the Mushaf was not done at the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) or at the time of the Sahaabah; even after the Mushaf was compiled in book form they did not swear on it, rather a person would swear by Allaah without swearing on the Mushaf. End quote from Fataawa Noor ‘ala al-Darb.
