    Cool video thanks. In regards to more speed resulting in more spray, I have also noticed a trend over the last few years with WQS / WCT surfers, even the lighter ones using large template fins (bigger base = more speed and release) and also not going too short on the boards to complement with the visual aspect. I have heard coach Micro Hall (amongst others) talking about this with his team on interviews, etc, where he acknowledges that a bit more rail also translates into more spray beyond the visual aspect. Keep up the great work guys, yeeewww.

    Thank you thank you for the great content. Everything you guys do is helping my surfing. Come on guys tell a friend and tell a friend and tell a friend to subscribe and like these videos because if they weren't doing this you would have to pay for surf lessons to get this information and asking your friend about this stuff isn't always the best idea because it doesn't mean your friend knows how to teach you the right way and give the right information or is even doing the right technique the right way themselves. Let's subscribe and like until we get these guys over a hundred thousand subscribers because they deserve it so tell a friend and tell a friend. Congratulations early for reaching a hundred thousand subscribers and being recognized by RUclips when you guys finally get your award and again thank you for what you do because it matters and it helps and if you guys keep posting I'll keep watching. Happy surfing from Virginia Beach...

    You should bring your back arm down to your chest when your going through your turns instead of across your face. It will look effortlessly and more stylish. Not judging, you’re a great surfer. Keep up the awesome videos!

    Hey dudes
    You should make a video about how to look/feel less dorky, while still being relaxed.
    I found that when I pop up and start surfing(from some photos I’ve seen) I look really arched and not like more experienced surfers. Might be not anything more then just practicing and getting more comfortable but it’d be cool to see what y’all think:)
    Cheers

    YOOO whats the song??? Im in love with it. love the tutorial too. Aside from being high on the wave and doing the maneuver tightly, are you trying to lead with the hip or are you using core / shoulder muscles to really get the turn going? Or some other muscle group entirely?

    • @HowtoRip
      @HowtoRip  5 лет назад +1

      Perfect the basics. Bottom turns, top turns, cutbacks and carves. Try linking these together on a wave with speed and flow.

    Th'nx 4 gr8 tips, there is however a difference between competitive and recreational surfing styles ! The WCT criteria may not be the only way to ride waves, and in some cases may be the wrong approach ! ?

      Absolutely, you can surf a wave however you like!

    And an question why do u want a lot of spray?

    • @HowtoRip
      @HowtoRip  5 лет назад +3

      2 reasons. Firstly, throwing more spray makes your turns looks better. Secondly and more importantly, having the ability to throw more spray means that you are surfing with more speed, performing your turns in the optimal parts on a wave and using your body well.
