@@rich_forever9485 Well it’s debatable but many would say the S58 is much superior than the 2jz. The B58 can actually be considered superior as well, or at least worthy of being called the “new 2jz”. Specially the B58TU which is still fairly new and will keep breaking records as more people tune them.
@@Eddy-09 Oh I agree about the B58 having a lot of potential that’s 2JZ-esc but the B58 will never surpass the S58. The S58 comes with a forged bottom end and is capable of 1000hp with just bolt ons and tune. It wouldn’t make sense for BMW to make a motor that’s more powerful or even has more potential than an actual MOTORSPORT engine. Lol it’s completely backwards. Trust me I’m a BMW fan to the core, and I love the B58’s, but those S58’s are truly in a level of their own in comparison
@@rich_forever9485 Oh I never assumed it equaled the S58. I’m sure the S58 might make even more than 1000hp as I’ve already seen the B58 put down 860whp, and according for the tuner it still had another 50whp in it. Stock engine. That’s over 980hp crank.. and had potential to get over 1000.

Damn, pony jumped both runs lol. I'm a fan of both these cars, except I like my pony cars in manual. Too bad the MT82 pales in comparison to the 10 speed. I'd def daily the 340 though. The B58 is just too much for a lot of cars, especially NA cars, once you let it breathe, tune it and drop some E. Good runs!

Not at all sayin the b58 is weak or trash or anything negative, just that a properly built coyote would beat a properly built b58 in my opinion. Properly built meaning everything top of the line, done correctly, no BS rigging or cheap out options

No he's not. I know a lot of the bmw owners here. He's still slower than an m3 on e30. If you look at an m340i on E85 I filmed racing the m3 on e30 they were neck and neck. This 340i is lighter than the m340i and is running e50... so it makes sense that he's slower than an m3 on e30.

Come on I dare BMW to make a sub 5000cc NA dohc 32V motor and try fighting a Mustang!! Or a Camaro.
The 340i i6 is a good motor.. But so is any boosted 6 cylinder motor with Mods as done to this BMW.
Ford too has the 3.5TT V6..if tuned well its also shitty fast.
If this Mustang had no jumped there would ve been a 1 -2 car lead for the BMW.
I d say both did as expected by both engines.
The only people that drive mustangs are the ones that think their mustang is actually fast 🤣
