B58 has ferocious top end pull! I couldn't believe how well that car moves out!
Yep, my b58 in the m240i has always done me well and has been abused for 60,000 + miles without issues. Even stock it’s a great engine with a good punch.
you can believe it lol
@@RobQuincysFather2012 did a bmw hurt your feelings too😞🤣
When did b58 first come out
@@fatboynip 2015 was first year introduced.
"he's running some kumho.. * tf is this shit * uh ye kumho tyres" 😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Insane! B58 never disappoints.
Can’t get over that purple. Such a pretty color dam
lol Beamers(non track M) used to get smoked by CTS-v in the mid 2000's. Now it's a whole different ball game.
Sure, a stock CTS-V vs a modded with E bimmer.. I am a BMW fan, but that CTS would destroy that car with exhaust and tune.
Lmfao nah Bimmers been on top. A Big single turbo 2006-2010 335i enters the chat. I’m a fan of CTS-V’s but them N54’s with a single turbo don’t mess around. It was the modern 2JZ GTE of the mid 2000’s.
Those year 335i’s even embarrass the mid 2000’s M3 on a straight line.
Nice to see some good starts for once :D
A someone who currently drives a stock Cadillac ATS 2.0T, I am stunned by the B58. God willing, it will power my next car.
Worth the investment for sure! Love my M240i xdrive, and highly recommend this motor!
Not going to lie, seeing a FBO 340i beat a 640hp car is kinda crazy!! That E50 tune goes crazy
It’s the 500 pound difference, little pully upgrade on the ctsv….
@@ScriptedJ the 340 is better engineering weight aside.
Bmw probley making 30-40whp less but the weight and those b58s are great probley the best 40k car to get if ur into racin he needs to run that white CTS pulley tune
yeah bmws depreciate like shit
so these cars are very attainable and easy to mod
@@RobQuincysFather2012 Depreciation depends on many factors, some of which are the specific model, condition and mileage. You're very wrong when you say BMW's as in all BMW's depreciate like shit...e.g. my E39 M5 is worth more than when I bought in 2007...
been watching for almost 2 years i think and trust me you will be big soon, everything takes time no matter how much time 👍
The weight difference is key in this match-up
True. About 600lbs difference
B58 special ❤
well all knew that 340 had this one😭💯
open dump sounding reallll niceee on the 340i
It’s getting to the point where if it’s a BMW vs anything I’m picking the BMW
Idk why every b58 owner doesn’t buy a tu pump for $500 and pick up massive amount of power, it’s even a super easy install
this guy has a TU pump, otherwise no way he running bm3 E50, stock hpfp can't handle that. Probably just not mentioned in the video
I got mine for $350 brand new. OEM Bosche part
Dorch stage 1 here. No way I was dropping $1800 on a stage 2. I run e50 all day every day.
@@pissywilly why get the DS1 instead of a TU pump if the TU pump is cheaper and flows about the same as the DS1? honestly just curious
@BMWEnjoyer good question! The answer is that the TU is designed for a higher fuel pressure system than my gen 1 engine. If something gets clogged in the fuel system it will not bleed off gas till it reaches 5,800 psi which could take out other components. The dorch stage one bleeds at a much lower pressure so is safer for my engine should a blockage or problem occur.
When I read the Caddy had “intake only” I assumed it was gonna be an easy kill. The CTS-V definitely surprised me as it held it’s own. A full exhaust and ethanol tune and it will be a force on this channel. Nonetheless, two beautiful cars going head to head.
Held its own??? That car got walked. Just facts...and I prefer the Caddy anyway.
@@cccc9911 yes it held its own until like 120
Then it got gapped…….headers and tune alone would make up the difference 😅 and walk the beamer
Lol
🤣🤣Hold his own 3 bus length back
@@commantrosexetlos4700 lmfao maybe 1
At 1:09 there is what looks like an rs7 in the background. That would be great to see in some future races
B58 is definitely gonna be my next swap.
B58 is going to be my next car. 2020 M240i
@@bikotheanimator6169 ive got a 2018, awesome cars, power to weight is insane!
the caddy got the sauce!!!
Gapplesauce 😄
That cts-v got alot more to offer. But BMW'S run the streets!
Both sick cars
Use me as a BMW like button ❤️
B58 cars are a blast to drive!
Purple baby
Wanted something v8 but I think its time for me to get a b58😂
Wow I love b58s
Seems like the German 6-cylinder engine is superior in this race!
Lol I was waiting for the “see how it goes “
B58 is insane.
chinobuilt b58 on top
Can’t wait until the price come down on these 340’s
I would think they are around 30k give or take now right? That's fairly inexpensive for such a great car with so much potential.
They already have, they will some more later this year. You can pick one up in the 20’s with not a lot of miles
BMW’s out there embarrassing people! 🫣
Just a minor Pulley upgrade and the Caddy will walk that BMW
@@readyon3506 american cars with more hp aren’t allowed to do mods otherwise it isn’t fair remember
the B58 gang back at it again to impress us. 👊🏼 but that cadillac tho. 😍🤌🏼 💦
BMW’s are some real mofo’s on dem streets! 💯
I love BMW🚀🤤
Love both cars especially the V , underrated sedan .. honestly tired of seeing chargers/challengers
BMW is just different
It was close 🤣 in the beginning
On e50 he should be more then 400 to the wheels , more like 460
I wonder what would B58 do on E98
High 9’s with proper mods . Can’t run e98 with just a hpfp
@@aarondostou3888 Yeah new injectors etc...
@@dimmacommunication port injection 👍
@@aarondostou3888 Yeah , port is new injectors :)
any b58 stage 2 e50 is low 500 not high 400 for sure
Not true. Not everyone is running 500+whp. Its an ots tune, he is likely making high 400’s
@@PapiAndrey oh ots tune. you are right. may be below 500.
but it pulls like 500+ 😃
@@AntowQa thats the beauty of having a meaty torque curve. Its probably making 400+ for half the rev range and peak power for 2000rpm
No contest!
AWD ?
Damn
So let's see how it goes.
How the hell did the caddy lose that badly? I know those bmws move especially with a little E but should have been closer. The only thing i could think of is the cadillac might have needed a tune even with just an intake. Those and the ATS are stubborn when you add mods and no tune sometimes even losing gains
The Caddy definitely doesn’t need a tune for the intake, the ZL1 will pick up 20-30whp just from an intake on its own with the same engine.
It would do a lot better if it had the 10 speed instead of the 8l90.
Look at an ots e50 tune dyno run, the torque curve is awesome. It builds power to high rpm and gets a nice bump in torque on each shift.
So even if its making the same power at 5.5 and 6k, it will be making more torque and it helps after each shift
They heavy as fuck
You just can’t believe how amazing the b58 is compared to American V8s 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
2nd race it was over on the count of 4
That bmw is making way more than said with those mods. lol. I understand weight but still way more.
With the Mods he’s running he should be somewhere around 450whp and somewhere close to 500lbft I believe. However if he’s running an upgraded fuel pump he can be making up to 500whp from what I’ve seen some owners do which might be enough to take out a relatively stock V thanks to the weight difference.
Nah buddy it is the weight. You guys really underestimate what a huge difference it makes, that’s why hellcats or other heavy cars fall flat on their nose top end or always losing races
It's making well over 500 tq. And whp is around upper 400s. Seen dyno nu.bers of similar setups
@@tro2094 he has a TU pump at least FOR SURE otherwise he can't run E50 BM3, stock hpfp would crash. Tu pump is so cheap and available you'd literally forget to mention you upgraded it lol. Just a bmw oem plug & play part that can be found for under $500 nowadays.
@@AutoGlory yep for sure, even in the logs (which show less torque than when you put it on a dyno) I'm already hitting 500 ftlb, I'm b58 with stage 2+ E40 MHD, tu hpfp, catless dp, m performance catback, xhp stage 3 etc. Stock g82 M4 competition rwd 510hp has no chance so you can go figure
Brake boosting? 😮💨
Bmw goes.
CTS died up too. 😂😂
I knew that was a complete mismatch before they started because of the weight
CTS-V should have asked for a 40 roll.
As always, import>
B58🫡
and this is not even an m340i like the one i have
Dropped him 🥴🥴🥴
First!!!!
Here
I call 🧢 on upper 400"s
500tq is the suprise
@@thefastforte2854 yep. A stock G80 Comp is enough for the Gen 3 V and it weighs more than the f30 340i
Lmao khmuno tires
Caddy and doge I can't stand
Now let’s see the same bmw with only an intake run it up against the V 🤔
You want to see a 650hp caddy run a 320hp bimmer? I don’t think you understand why they even ran in the first place. You sound butthurt
Hhhhhh that caddy from the factory 650 hp but the bimmer from the factory 380 hp double the hp and this caddy with m5 cs has no chance even with more hp
BMW POWER
Too much sauce!!🤣🤣🤣🤷♂️
