one thing to note: often chains have positions on the sprockets where it can be loose and another where it is tighter, due to minor imperfections in manufacturing and also from just general wear and tear. So be sure to spin the wheel a few times to make sure you don't have it too tight. A minor detail but worth a quick check while it's on a stand.
Great video, hearing some rattling from my Virago 250 while engine breaking. Think it might be a loose chain. Never owned or wrenched on a bike before so cheers for the clear and concise video.
my tire is already all the way back and i’m not too sure what the conversion is but it still has over an inch of play and will slap the guard, can i remove a link or do i need a whole new chain

No worries. Hope it helps. A simple process.

You didn't mention the adjuster nut for the rear brake. This should be checked after to make sure the rear brake has the correct play.
Bless you, mate
Does the rear wheel have to be off the ground to make these adjustments?
Wondering the same. Haven't had the chance to buy a jack yet 🥲
Was hoping you'd let us know all the wrench sizes.
I'll keep looking so I know I got what I need.
Nice ans short though, which I do appreciate.
Thanks
