@@AlexandriaTucker 've been watching Marc videos for years. I went back and listened to your voice at various points in time. The anciestry familiar DNA investigation should be standard and allowed by LE in the whole world. If you done nothing wrong you don't have to fear anything but so many family members of victims would get answers. For me their grief and right of justice is more important than my own privacy that dont exist anywhere in todays times. some families had to wait so long they were never able to know who took their loved one. In germany we have too strict privacy laws, we dont even have a public DNA database to do start those kind of investigations. What we have are a lot of cold cases that will never get solved because of the fear of some people. The case I want to be familiar DNA investigated is that of 13 yo Tristan Brùhbach, very gruesome but solvable with the technique but they can't do anything because there are no data available to look into
These sketches are often less helpful than anything. When I see reconstructions and sketches I usually become very upset because they look so terrible and not resembling human beings. The first time I saw Gordon Sanderson's sketch (he was previously known as Septic Tank Sam, a very awful nickname to give to a John Doe tbh) I knew they would NEVER identify him like that. Sketches such of Patricia Carnahan and Holly Campiglia prove that.
Often what forensic sketch artists do is try to make prominent features more pronounced. Sometimes it backfires and sometimes it does lead to an identification.

Carol Joyce Deleon, It's NOT PRONOUNCED "BEXAR!" It's Pronounced "Bear." If you had actually done research, you would have known this. If you are doing TRUE crime, do it right. Other wise good reporting and great video.
I think they are a very big organization that solves these cases that is very well funded and the information on their work and the cases are easily obtained so RUclips video makers can easily get info to make videos about the cases. Plus who else is solving these cases now days and running the DNA? You have to have some type of power, money, and good track record to be able to run the DNA tests because there is only so much evidentiary samples to test and you don't want to waste anything for testing if it isn't serious and official and they have the equipment and money to get the job done. The amount of money that the research gets is probably large and never ending because they run on donations which comes in all the time. Why does it matter if they are doing all that work? It is a good thing and I am sure there are only so many companies that do this stuff for free or at cost. It's expensive. They do a very good deed and obviously they are committed to solving all the cops cases they can. Remember every time a new suspect comes up they must test their DNA. Every time new DNA technology comes up and you can get a bigger profile and a more detailed blueprint they expand the database, at least up until a certain point. At this point they have good enough DNA tests that the results match you to a 99.9 percent likelyhood and it is a 1 in 150;million chance or whatever they call it. That means there is a very high likelihood but many samples that were taken back in the day were not that detailed and need to be retested and results put in the database to complete the profiles so they can be compared either way. There is always a lot of work to do and governments and entities responsible are not always funded properly and they don't have the manpower to enter all the info and collect it and process it. It is not profitable so it either takes forever or doesn't get dobe at all or whatever. Money makes things go faster and people work better and care more and the cold hard truth is that money makes the world go round and people don't work for free. Without them many of these cases may not of even been solved because the DNA processing is expensive enough cities that are poor don't have the technology and money to do the work or send it in to be done so they are private and heavily funded and they don't need special permission from higher ups in a government to send off DNA samples like cities and police departments do. When a police department does DNA samples from cold cases they have to be approved for the funding to process and it has to be deemed nessesary sometimes.
