The tiny C to C cable is for putting the keyboard on top of a laptop and plugging it in without a long cable taking to so much space. That's why the USB c port is on the side. Very clean.
Apparently they are also planning to release a 75% version pretty soon as well. October/November release schedule according to a question that was answered on their website about the possible release of a 75%. So you could probably wait for that if you don't want a 60%.
@@Xaero_ZRX-33 Here's a reply they had on their website for someone asking about a 96%: "Currently, developing Air96 HE is quite challenging. The elongated parts make it hard to control deformation, and keeping the internal structure consistent is key to maintaining precision in the magnetic switch keyboard. We’re still working on it, and it will take some time to overcome these challenges."
Picked up their Gem80 TKL earlier this and it’s a joy to use, a lovely solid nice sounding keyboard out of the box but fully moddable if so inclined. I’ve left mine stock, great products from this company at a good price.
Seems really good value wise. As long as the firmware/software doesn't have weird bugs or performs badly with rapid trigger or something, I could see this being a really good recommendation for people who want a gaming keyboard.
Seriously, tho TKL should be the default standard. Just enough keys, not too few, not too many. I use the function and arrow keys DAILY, I need that media control at all times.
They have an Air96 and I think that would be perfect if they release an HE version. You could have the TKL keys or the numpad with different mapping presets (using 1-9 for TKL keys)
I usually prefer 98 key (96%) layouts, but for a primarily gaming keyboard/HE keyboard, 60% (or even 40%) is preferred. Don't need all the keys, I swap my switches almost daily sometimes so less keys means I don't need to buy so many switches (which can get pretty expensive now) ww.
I have a lot of keyboards but only 1 60% as 65% is about a small as I like while usually using 75% as well. Hopefully if this is successful they will make an HE version of the Air 75 or of the NOS. Great review! I've tested a few HE keyboards but don't own one yet... just not sure which one.
A 75% is coming in October… see post from iStratz. There was a question at their website regarding a 96% version. But it looks like a challenge regarding structure and stability which is important to HE switches, but they are trying.
Is the BlackShark V2 x USB worth it over the 3.5mm for primary PC use? Are they usable with Mobile with a converter? And how have been they holding up?
Depends on the games you play. Also you can play competitive games causally and still reap the benefits of a hall effect keeb. Just depends on the games and what you value in a keeb.

Would these gateron low profile jades work on a wooting board? I've been waiting on a low profile HE keyboard forever. And so far no software comes close to the wooting software. So a low profile wooting60he would be a Dream...
No ISO layout available... I think this is important to mention in all keyboard videos. It renders this keyboard useless for most of EU ppl, except for those that switched to ANSI for whatever reason.
It is not useless. The difference between ISO and ANSI is minimal. You might be a custom keyboard layout away from purchasing any ANSI keyboard you want 👨🏻🔧. Windows and macOS has the tools.
@@Alvenes No thank you, I tried that already. If a custom keyboard doesn't fit basic requirements of a lot of people there is no reason to buy it. The wootings got so popular because they understand that. Why buy a custom keeb if it doesn't let you customize it to fit your needs. It's the entire point of them.
I switched to ansi from iso, not a big deal for UK users, way more options for keycaps etc. I do miss the big enter key sometimes but it’s ok I think. Likely different for other languages I appreciate.
120 bucks before shipping/tax just checked. Honestly really good value. I probably would have bought this if it came out before I got a wooting 60HE. I love low-profile keyboards for the wrist angle. It's a lot healthier on your wrists especially for gaming when you have your wrist resting on the desk for several hours at a time. Of course you could just always use a wrist rest, but a lot of people don't use them

It sounds pretty good for a low profile keyboard!
Love the look of this board, I do agree a 75 % would be nice.

Absolutely loved my Fnatic 65LP, just cancelled my Wooting order & I’m going to grab this!
Keyboard design looks VERY creative

I like low profile. But I use directional keys all the time. So I can't buy this. Thanks for the video.
If its compact 75% layout this is insta buy!
Coming in October…. see post from iStratz.
Really wish there were low profile KBs in the budget side
Uh oh! Techne trying out a HE keyboard! 🙂
Can I use these HE switches in racing games like gas/steer control with full range of motion? This would be awesome
I can't wait till you do a review of the steelseries arctis gamebuds.
Will you review the apex pro gen 3?
Love the look of this keyboard
It's the sexiest keyboard that I've ever seen... but it's 60% 🥺 I hope they release the 96 and 75 layouts because it would be a waste if they didn't.

isn't ZenAim first with these low profile hall effect keyboard? not that it matter or anything but i remember seeing them for a long time in japan
The Zenaim it's luxurious and expensive keyboard, the bad thing it's a tkl layout.
@@Xaero_ZRX-33 that is a pro for most people looking for a HE kb
Added some silicone grease to the spacebar stabs, guess there just wasn't enough. No rattle now.
Does the keyboard come with replacement caps in box if you do not want to use the purple clear caps on right side?
Can the trigger affects, keybinds, hypertap settings be saved to profiles that auto swap when application is in use?
I wonder why companies are against shine thru caps
I just want a 75/96 keycaps set of this keyboard to put on my air75 v2
5:00 why don't you just use a 90 degree male to female adapter?

Prob not, it looks like the magnet is extending below the alignment legs on the low profile switches, as where the normal jade sit flush to the legs
Unfortunately not
You had the jade pro instead of the normal one
