How can he even sue her if she's broke. This blokes a fool. Go back to oz, deal with how depressed you'll be for doing so but start again. Borrowing from others will only make your life worse. How do people get to his age and remain so niave?
@@bbustin1747 These pro-bono deals are fine if you win .However if you loose your case , you just "might" be liable for the ex girlfriend's legal fee's , so first research very well what's coming around that corner so to fight , or flight back to OZ asap. In Thailand when wrong or right ,"falang must pay".......extra .
I feel sorry for this guy, but the story should have ended with "I met her in a bar." Every mistake he made past that point is on him. I know that blaming the victim is cruel, but honestly, becoming partners with anybody you meet in a bar is just asking for trouble.
Many YT vids, books, internet chat groups that warned us about these babes...and yet, every year we come here and get scammed. Sorry, no sympathy for this idiot. None!
people get blinded. He probably felt so grateful just to be in Thailand and running a business that he just ignored the red flags. One thing's for sure, he's never going to do that again
Trust needs to be earned wherever you are in the world. This takes time.I just don't get how these seemingly intelligent men fall for this Thai voodoo .Would Brian have trusted his family or best mate with open verbal contracts with such large sums of money? Doubtful .
It was a transaction. She may not have been paid daily or weekly but she played the long game. She knew how to get as much as he had available. I must have heard hundreds of stories like his. The important thing is when you hear “you handsome man” don’t take it seriously.
This story is so common in Thai bar areas , well done to Brian for having the balls to expose his naïve world , there is nothing but a big lesson to learn , get back to Australia
@@brianrout2348 No Brian, they are not wrong. I cannot for the life of me understand how the Thai authorities allowed you into the country for more than 28 days. You are a liability to yourself. Thank goodness you have no family back in Ozzie to witness what a complete mess you have made of your life.
I wish I could say “what an incredible story” but…..after 26 yrs here this is the story. Day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year….this is Thailand. It never ends.
Listening to the story while watching the lady in the background going to work on a new victim hits different 😂 is like a never ending churning machine
@EdwinRodriguez-zt5fx So you think like me Edwin, i also saw that going on in the background and thought the same. The guy didn't look too condescending towards her, but she was persistent, LoL. Bob NZ.
I have watched this twice.he does have a choice,go back to Australia and get a job as a chef, good money 30,000 baht a week at least,he just doesn't want to work, sad what happened to him,but he doesn't have to be in this situation, harden up ,get a job, back in Oz,I hate working but work 6 day weeks, he does have a choice, being lazy and not wanting to work ,like everyone else has to do ,has lead to this situation, all the best
Looking for “happiness” and a beautiful woman, is a losing effort. Happiness is not to be found here. It is inward beauty and decent circumstances , in which the heart and soul are nourished and grow into what we call love. Become that person inwardly, yourself. Call on God, ask His advice. You are aging and one day will meet Him; we all will. Seek goodness and light. 🙏🧡🙏🧡
thailand is good to be a tourist, get in and get out. I lived there for 10 years. Some good relationships until you realize how fast that can change.. . Don't trust there.
He is lying. First he says he meets this lady BEFORE Conid, then he fitted out the bar it seems during Corvid...then he has known her for 3 weeks and they are in a relationship. Everyone knows that the assets will all be in her name. She BOUGHT the building right? She's not leasing the building. Anyone who knows Thailand knows this guy is so full of it
In Australia there is only one reason a man will get a woman half his age, and that's MONEY. It amazes me that these guys think that it would be any different in Asia.
Then they get angry when they are ripped off. I mean pal did you honestly think a 21 year old girl would fall in love with someone her grandad’s age? Coz if you’re 57 you are grandpa to her.
Understand this Brian - Anything you purchase for a girl in Thailand, be it a business, a car or anything else, in the eyes of Thai law is a gift. Stop pursuing your money as you will NOT get a single Baht back. Do NOT chase this through the courts, you WILL lose more money. Go home, take stock and start again. That's the best and most honest advice you'll get. Good luck.
There is still more to come. Grand ma's buffalo gets sick and then it dies so you must buy her another one. Sometimes this goes long enough that she forgets that the buffalo already died, then it dies again. That is when you meet her sister who falls in love with you and you find out that her brother is actually her husband. Please get your friends in Australasia to visit you in Thailand.
While many feel sorry for the guy but stuff keeps on happening to expats over and over again in Asian countries, especially the Philippines and Thailand. There is one rule that is the most important one and that is PROTECT YOUR Money!!!
Very true mate really need to be careful especially in the Philippines I've been going to the Philippines since 2013 the word you need to use is NO it's hard to say no some times but you have to to protect yourself and to protect your money
I never feel sorry for these guys. They probably run through heaps of girls before the find the one that teaches them a lesson. The moment a man decides to enter those gogo bars, they SHOULD know what game they just started.😂
@@BigBrother04 Exactly , and that moment you let your guard down and push all the "old war stories"you've heard away .First your emotions , wallet , then bank accounts take a hit ,or an absolute flogging. . The only stuff that goes on her name is the stuff you're willing to lose. He said he has his own business before meeting her. He should have kept that and simply shacked up with her and split the bills.
Come back to Port Macquarie there are plenty of new Japanese restaurants work for a few years and then go back and you will have learnt your lesson ❤ can be costly anywhere in the world 😂 !
I’ve been living in South East Asia on and off for the last 32 years. Unfortunately this scenario plays out a lot more often than it should. I know from an emotional perspective, he feels if he leaves Thailand, not only does he lose all hope of recovering any of his money, (which is extremely unlikely anyway), but the dream is well and truly over. It is common for expats to say ‘there’s nothing for me back in my home country’. In reality, Australia will provide food and shelter and he can potentially get back on his feet. Whereas in Thailand he’s literally on his own. Believe me you can’t exist in this part of the world without the means. I’d strongly suggest he leaves while he can
I have been very happily married to my wife for twenty years, met her in Thailand, not in a bar but in a 5 star hotel in Bangkok, she was my waitress in the Hotels restaurant. We have two great kids, our son is in the RAF and our daughter is in the sixth form. If it were not for my wife I wouldn't have much in the bank, but fortunately she is a whiz with money! The moral to this poor guys story, and many others I suppose, is, a fool and his money are soon parted. I hope things work out for him.
absolutely agree.... I wonder if it is a case of "easy come, easy go". He seem to have made an easy killing on krypto....and so he thought what the hell...and spent without thinking. Unfortunately, his adventurous relationship with krypto also tanked. Hope he learns from all of this.
Well I survived 5years on my own in Yoichi Hokkaido Japan with no one able to speak english in the eighties to better myself learning Japanese cooking. 2 major breakdowns and experiencing every emotion known to man. I never gave up. I was 22 years old when I went there. I come from a broken poor family and I never had much but I grew up in very hard times including things that happened to me I can never talk about here. I will never give up on some justice even if it kills me. Thanks for your comment. Brian.
1. DON'T get into a relationship with a bar girl. 2. DON'T buy a property 3. DON'T go into or buy a business. 1a DO find a nice lady who has her own job, and doesn't ask you for money. 2a ALWAYS rent, never buy a condo, that way you can up sticks and leave at a moments notice if you need to. 3a MAKE sure you retire or come to Thailand with a decent monthly income from your own country, whether it's from rental income, pension or savings. Sorry to hear about Brian's situation, but please learn from Brian's mistakes. Good luck Brian, hope you get some of your money back.
I had similar events happen, opened a company, transferred monies across, then my then Thai business partner said, lets help the family for this n that etc, in the end he emptied the corporate account of 18m Thai Baht.. Moral of the story, just do not invest nothing in Thailand, what goes to Thailand remains in Thailand full stop.. The law protects Thais only...
Wtf. Like....really. That woman was waiving more red flags, from the beginning, at him than at a North Korea parade!!! How the actual....I don't even....this is just....I'm sorry, I can't even....
Sorry to hear what happened to Brian. If it flies, floats or f-cks , rent it. If you visit or live in SE Asia, rent , do not buy anything. If you think you are smarter and more enterprising than the locals, who are hungrier and poorer than you, you are probably deluded. If you do start a business and you do succeed, you will attract the attention of locals. Not all of them are good and you will attract envy and ire as an outsider. People in poorer countries are family and community oriented. They work together for the greater good. Visitors are outsiders and will never fully integrate.
I was having a Thai massage in Pattaya one day. A young guy was on his phone to his mate saying he was going to leave his Aussie wife and kids and move to Pattaya. He'd fallen in love. Never buy a condo. Never buy a bar( especially with a thai) Never take a girl to your room! that is your sanctuary. Never hire a jetski. Thai women's hearts are the hardest stone known to man. Want to make a small fortune in Pattaya? Start with a big fortune.
Cause you’ll bring it back and they’ll try and charge you for damage that was already there. And then if you refuse to pay, they will bring the police along, who are in fact in on the scam. And then you lose even MORE money.
I once got scammed for over a 1M Baht, well not scammed just gave it away to get out of a toxic relationship and surviving getting out of Thailand airport quick smart before being on a travel restriction order, best 1M Baht I ever spent. Thailand is cooked with scammers for decades, still people part with the winnings, it's only money!. Married a Indonesia - best thing I ever did, currently sitting beach side overseeing Sentosa Island supping a Bintang, shaking my head with a grin on my face. All the best Brian, cut ya losses, get back in Oz, put it down to an experience.
@seascapes3422 moral of the story= hes happily moved on,its only money, its worth nothing in all reality and looking back with regrets is for suckers, live in the present because it is a present,a gift 🎁,😉
Indo women are cut from a similar cloth. I wouldn’t be smiling if I was married. 55 with the snip and avoided marriage like the plague. We all need to be careful. Marriage…Jesus!
Yeah ,I had a Indo gf here in Australia ,lovely woman First her aunty was selling land back in Indonesia ,so lets invest some money ,lucky it was only 5K . Once the money was transfered I ask what is going on with buying that land ,that was for our future plan retire in Indonesia ,well according to my gf her aunty changed her mind .So where is the money?Well her and her brother " invested " my money in something else ... In other words they stole it from me . Her and her brother had all kind of great bussines ideas ,they never had a money but they had a ideas . One of them was ,I can buy a fishing boat and get share from the sale at fish market. Sound like it allmost like this guy truck bussines ha ha ha . Lucky it cost me only 5K to found out who is she as a person . Small price to pay but good lesson . So you are perhaps lucky that you found decent indo girl mate ! Good luck all the best
"Once Upon a Time" a man met a woman, they fell in love together. One day the girl said to him "I LOVE YOU" "will you marry me??? He said NO ! ! ! "AND HE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER" "THE END" "WOMEN" CANNOT LIVE WITH THEM" "CANNOT LIVE WITH THEM"

Pretty negative cmon. The dude said he has no family left in Australia and he clearly loves Thailand. He looks like a genuine real kind hearted bloke. It's a tragic case but I hope he gets through this okay
@@stezzoffinator Maybe if he just keeps trusting people he will eventually stop getting fleeced. Could he get welfare in Thailand? Do they have reciprocal rights.
Heard this type of story many times on RUclips. The best course of action would be to return to Australia and get a job in the profession he was in before.
Was working in BKK many years ago - my clients are VP or GM of multi national company who are expats as well - caught dinner with two gorgeous Thai well educated secretaries with good English without the ' no have ' or " you good heart" or I care you " nonsensical English ! Both cases were after finishing business with the clients - had dinner with the good looking secretary and proceeded to gold smith shop asking me to buy her gold chain and the other one went to a Gucci boutique asking me to buy her a handbag ! Both cases I told them very very politely that u must be a crazy bitch and left them at the shop saying Thank you and have a nice day !
There is a massive irony here. For whatever reason interviewer comes across as quite judgmental "what, you agreed to do that? Was the lease in your name or her name?". Brian lost 800k baht and a 1.4M baht truck. Within months the interviewer practically loses the same.
Lastly I want to say I'm grateful for every day in Thailand. I hope to get some form of justice here. I'm very much aware of my future I get some justice or I don't. I have excepted the consequences if I lose. This is my home now I have nothing in Australia. This is a fight to the end. I will not give up, it's not over until it's over either way. Thankyou Greg. Be safe everyone.
@Brianrout2338 best wishes & I hope you get through this tough time, maybe you'll get an offer $$ before it goes to trial. If you can get some finance together its better in Thailand. OZ is just way too expensive just to survive, rents are sky high even if you find somewhere unless you have friends forget it
I don’t comment often on social posts, but The LOS has beaten you mate, go home. You’re not the first, and won’t be the last. Thailand and you are done.
I've been hanging out in Thailand since 1985. I've had the same girlfriend since 1997. I rent a room, drive a second hand motorbike. NEVER invest anything here. I live a low key, under the radar life for about 35k a month for all expenses. I can leave at any time. I've seen so many cases like this poor bastard, milked like the proverbial cash cow. Sorry to say it but this guy has nobody to blame except himself for being so gullible. All these stories start with "I met her in a bar" and "she was from Isarn"........
Yeah I agree never invest what you can,t afford to lose. Because that's Thailand, keep a low key in around these areas. Like the bloke that's been there for years. Just rent have fun and enjoy your life. Don't be to loud about anything.
n here i am laying here reluctant to make the move @ 55 1/2 with as much as 750K AUD available to me(not right now) but over the next 16/17 years thru super, savings, inheritance, pension etc🙄 sounds as tho your doing it correctly,i can usually tell when someone plays it right,i been married to thai, then gf's after divorce etc etc never owned or bought anything outragoeusly expensive for them, never and always, always rent except maybe own a motorbike or car, cheers
M@@TheMicturation My girlfriend gets 200 baht a day and usually buys my dinner with that. I budget 1000 baht a day and my room is 5500 a month. I often don't spend 1k a day and order vitamins online from Iherb. I eat well have an air fryer and vitamizer for making fruit and veggie smoothies. You can live a good life here for 35 to 40k a month. If single I'd be spending a lot less. My girl is a southerner not from Isarn.
U asking viewers to put money into a bank account…. How can we be sure this is not a scam. It was naive of Bryan to do what he did he needs to work his way back to wealth rather than beg for sympathy and a bail out.
Same thing happened to friend of ours a few years ago ..he was paying for his Thai girlfriend truck payments she had a hairdressers and he furnished that for her and also he was also in the process of buying a condo he got suspicious of her and set her up and told her he had lost his job in England but could still look after her and her child but she just turned round and said I not love you anymore🤨😉 it's all about greed the more they get the more they want saying that They are not all like that though we have friends who are married to Thai girls in England and they are lovely BUT its just finding the good ones🤔🤔
Thank you for bringing this unfortunate story to us. I really feel for Brian. I won’t criticise Brian as he has a kind heart and deserves a lot better. My story with my Thai wife is completely different but this story is nota out me. I really hope he wins his court case and gets back on his feet. It’s a warning for people like Brian who has a kind heart. Guys just question everything as it’s your money.
I agree that there are bad and good people everywhere one should use a logic adjustment and not to be too naïve to the world. If I were a farang I would look for a partner somewhere else....I didn't mean all the bar girls are bad but they (I assume they have so much bad and good experiences from bad and good people to...they might turn revenged 🙂).
So you think😂 your different and special ? Your day will come too, she’ll clean your bank account and dump you. Word of advice, have a contingency plan, it’s just that it’s their nature
I smell a rat !! Or is he really that ignorant? He let all of this heartburn happen to him. Instead of running when he started taking hits he decided to stay and take more!! Sorry no hard earned money from me, you need to go back to where you can earn a buck or apply for government assistance.
Brian You were far too trusting. You would be best employing your energies in returning to Australia working hard and starting again. Hanging around hoping for some compensation is just not worth it. It will have a mental toll on you. You have had a bad day, but you can take the lost and build back. You put yourself out there with your story, that took guts. Good luck .
Go home, get a good Japanese restaurant job, rent a caravan or small room. Take the bus or ride a bicycle. Save almost everything for 3 or 4 years. Rebuild the savings. Get closer to retirement age / pension. Then go back to Thailand and do things very differently.
People from rich countries seem to lose their critical faculties once they are in relatively poor countries. This translates to far riskier activities abroad than one would do at home, whether they be financial risks, std risks, public intoxication, or physical risks from doing dangerous athletic things for novices like para-sailing or scuba diving. I'm not picking on Brian this is a common thing. It is all backwards if you want to take these risks you should do so at home where you have recourse to the law and an understanding of your environment.
It’s easy the slag the bloke off for being stupid , but anyone who has been involved with these women can understand how they manipulate you. Before you know it your in to deep to cut your losses. It’s easy to see from the side lines what is happening but when you’re in the headlights , you are blinded to what is happening.
Hi can u kindly do a follow up update on Brian? thanks for this sad story it feels like hell to be used & discarded like trash may God punish all these greedy people with no conscience who leaves behind one victims after another with no remorse 😤 & may they reap what they sow the obviously don’t believe in karma but karma will catch up with them just a matter of time!
I’m not donating any money to a man that got laid and lost all his money. He should’ve gone to Thailand, and never told anybody about his money, including any woman he was involved with. You work all your life, 30 to 35 years and build up equity, real estate pensions, Social Security, IRA 401(k). At that point nobody needs to know anything. The less they know about you the safer you are.
Sorry but we didn't have sex for almost 3 months,we lived separately and yes I made some poor decisions but it was COVID and I wanted a family. I couldn't get advice and we had a great relationship together and was only getting better. She made the decision when the time came that her and her babies life was more important than mine. When the time came to form the company and have my name on everything including hers she refused. There's more to it but that's the basics. Cheers.
What's the location of the bar where you did the interview? It won't make you feel any better mate but I suffered the same experience back in 2004. She now has a wealthy Brit building a £6m Baht house, buying a truck for himself and a car for her, all in her name. The World keeps on turning, just let it go or you'll end up very bitter and skint.
Thailand black magic charm is famous use to attract the man or woman and turn the victim into fool just follow on whatever they need. That is evil power. The same with Philippines and Indonesia.
"You and me" in Rompho complex, Jomtien. It used to be called Palmy's when the interviewer thought he owned but he got scammed and ended up broke just like the guy he interviewed.
Yeah when you buy a bar with somebody' who's stitches are barely healed from having a baby with who the hell knows... and you didn't have a lawyer looking at your financial stuff🙄🙄🙄
Actually I was single for 11years before I met her. I survived 5years in Hokkaido Japan from 1984 until 1989. The only gaigin , farlung, foreigner for 90 klms. It was incredible hard but I survived after 2breakdowns and never went broke. I face hardships and hunger, but I never gave up. Cheers.

Thankyou for all your comments and advice. Of course I made mistakes.i so much wanted my own family and thought by going into business and hiring thai people as well as living with her at the bar it was my dream come true. There are many beautiful kind people I know hear that share there food with me and help me out a little with a hundred baht or two. I'm so grateful. I also have a roof over my head. No amenities but once again I am Thankyou as I don't pay just keep the building tidy. Unfortunately
You've made some bloody stupid mistakes mate, but it's clear that you did them with the best of intentions. You can always keep your head up high knowing you didn't lose your money doing anything bad, you had something horrible done to you by a gambling addict. See how it goes with the trial. But if it doesn't work out, bite the bullet and come home to Australia and sort your money out. Otherwise enjoy poverty...
To be fair, he was unlucky with the pandemic but the woman was always going to win from this setup because you are a foreigner and the law is on her side. Your investment - 4 million bart. Return - 25,000 bart.
@@gscranage4594 I agree 100%. Especially a foreign woman's young baby. A 10 year old kid to a 10 years ago relationship...maybe. The return on investment for the truck (720k a year on 1.3m Baht) is way too high. 2 year return on capital. My feeling is there was no truck. And the supposed ex bf / ex husband is still involved. I wouldn't be surprised if her so-called brother is actually the baby's father.
If you don't understand the culture you won't survive anywhere. Many SE Asian women are tied very closely to their families and you won't live a western lifestyle in Thailand with a Thai wife. As on older man and Patriarch you would be expected to pay out a lot anyway.
I've watched half of this...A fool and his money are soon parted...Fools rush in where angels fear to tread....this happens with monotonous regularity.. I can't watch any more.
Every single person knows you do not get involved romantically or financially with a bargirl ( prostitute) a woman from pattaya or essan..period..if you must its only pay for play..Feel sorry for him, but asking to donate money for people who make mistakes like this isnt the right thing to do. Best to move back start working again and do better next time..
@@davidridlandthey are business morons excepting the Chinese Thai, Thailand is corrupt and always in favour of the Thai (for a cut of the action), that is the only reason they get away with this crap. Any western country would be sanctioned by the international community if we were doing this 💩
The only way to work in Thailand is with either employment visa in Bryan case a business visa. He needed to form a registered company first before entering any contract. One would think with a multitude of english speaking solicitors and visa agents, following correct procedure would be a no brainer.
Some Asian countries do not allow foreigners to own businesses by themselves...they usually have to have an Asian partner who has a majority interest in the company. I'd look into that first...at least that's what I hear.
The problem is that once you started investing in the bar she kept asking you for more. You knew that if you would have said no to any money demands, you would have been given your marching orders, and lost initial investment in the bar and car, so you felt you must comply to stay. Learn from this
Someone has already said this. Keep your assets/wealth in your home country and drip feed what you need each month into Thailand. Don’t try to be a 2 bob millionaire while you are in Thailand which should allow you to find a simple sweet girl from a Province . Chances are you’ll end up reasonably happy.
Betrayal, greed and deceit are alive and well even here in Australia and I know that from personal experience. I managed to hang onto a small portion of my wealth therefore I am not homeless but the value of my property is so low I can not afford to buy anywhere else. People, normal people can and do evil acts. Like me you will survive and you will be wiser and more cautious in the future. Your path is not an easy one and I empathise with you. Good luck.
Interesting video and but instead of begging to survive he just needs to own his mistakes and go home and get a job. He has absolutely no future in Thailand with no money, no income and no way of making one. Even after he lost all his money, he left the rest in the highest risk asset class you could and then lost it all.
Thanks for doing this story it does help others to be aware. Brian if only you could have sat back, waited, took your time got more info, spoke to the many little offices around who help with all these things. Anyway i do feel sorry for you mate but you were way to quick to pull the trigger...
It's difficult to say to your Thai partner that you're getting your own lawyer to check over the contracts. Thais get offended very easily. But abdicating financial control to another just leaves you open to abuse. I'm only surprised that the family haven't threatened him to drop the court case. The gambling debt confused me, she's either made a 300k loss or she's laundering money which doesn't seem necessary. Terrible story, sorry mate.
I think you're very brave to admit that you ignored every single bit of advice that's easily available online about what NOT TO DO in Thailand (or anywhere else either)
I’m so sorry you got taken for everything you have, but as a few others have mentioned you may want to go back home where you can work and wait till your pension. I hate to even say this, but the likelihood of you ever collecting even if the court takes your case and rules in your favor is slim to none. Just like she signed a lease without you being there, she’ll just claim the bar is losing money and close it up or sell it as at a loss, or that’s what the paperwork will say anyway.
Or will sell it at a d-e-e-p discount to her father or brother. Same thing with the truck and car. Yup. I hope we're wrong, though, and he does indeed win. The thing is is the Thai attorney took on the case at 30% of what they win back...and they don't do that unless they think they can win, so who knows?
A tip for foreigners ,, keep a bank ( private ) bank account . And under no circumstances do NOT tell your wife . Then if the shit hits the fan , there is something to fall back on . I am 69 years old , 22 years married to a Thai wife .
Either have a good lump in the bank, or "step out" every month, step into Laos, turn around and step back into Thailand and you get another months visa.
Wow that woman cost 129k. Easy thing to say but understandable the heart can be carried away. No family, no support, nothing to go back to. Financial loss is important but Brian's mental health is my greatest concern. The takeaway from this or consolation is to pay as you go and firewall your heart (if at all possible). That said, it could've been another person trying some other scam.
Brian, seems like you like being single minded when you set goals for yourself. You also like to listen to people giving advise and trusting them esp with get rich/happy quick ideas. This must stop.I too lost on Luna but you know brother we have to dig in our heels and rebuild. To rebuild means to put in hours and hard work. Only way is getting a job. No more being filled with hope for Lady Luck and short cuts. Start being comfortable only when you have rebuilt your wealth. You can’t live like this in Thailand. In Asia, it’s all about building wealth. If you are solely focused on getting even or wanting some fairness, you are not in sync with the culture. In Asia, there are generations of people living below the poverty line. There will be no sympathy or respect to accept a foreigner to be added on to this level of existence in the country. In almost every country, foreigners are welcomed to come and spend money. Your best bet is to quickly go back to Australia where you will be well supported by the government and you are able to work. You may think you have no one left in Australia but you do. You have yourself and your dignity.
Thai courts have kangaroos in them, they will look at Brian saying he choose to live in Thailand if he hadn't boarded the plane he wouldn't be there, and all the problems wouldnt either. Thats Thai logic, even if non of the nightmares were created by him,he should have done his homework first,no non thai residents can own land or property, they can purchase condos but you usually have a 25 to 30 years lease on the land and then the condo will belong to the land owner,so you cant own anything apart from vehicles.Sorry for your troubles but fail to plan.plan to fail, forewarned is forarmed
If he is tooyoung to receive a pension and he has no means to work or earn money in Thailand, I wonder why he doesn't return home to Australia. He says the reason for not returning is that he has nothing back home to return to. However, if he is back in his home country, he at least has a realistic option to find some type of job so that he can earn some money. It would seem to me, if he is absolutely broke with no money, his prospects for working would be much better back home in his own country. It Thailand, given his current economic situation, his options for earning money would be much worse than back in his home country where he at least has a reasonable and realistic ability to earn money.
Brian, in regards to your visa situation, how are you remaining in Thailand without any finances? If you can't satisfy the visa financial requirements, won't they just put you on a plane to Oz? At least then you would have some government benefits to help you back on your feet. Gotta' be better than 'begging and borrowing' in Thailand. I think you're flogging a dead horse trying to get any money back in Thailand.
That’s not fair to say. Some of these men are literally just looking for love, and thinking with their desires instead of their brain, but I wouldn’t say their idiots.
It's crazy that someone will go over there to meet a poor woman and decide to do all of this. Unbelievable, that must have been the best p#$$¥ he ever had.

Brian you have to get things sorted. So, 1 go back to OZ, 2 go to Centrelink and unemployment benefit, 3 you can always work as a taxi driver and get some money in. Thailand is not for you. Really living as an unemployed in Thailand and begging is just plain hopeless. Get home and sort it out.

Looking for “happiness” and a beautiful woman, is a losing effort. Happiness is not to be found here. I’d strongly suggest he leaves while he can
And who’s going to pay for his plane ticket??! 🤣😂

Go home, get a good Japanese restaurant job, rent a caravan or small room. Take the bus or ride a bicycle. Save almost everything for 3 or 4 years. Rebuild the savings. Get closer to retirement age / pension. Then go back to Thailand and do things very differently.
Sorry but 11 mins in, I just cant anymore.

That’s too brutal I can’t finish the whole video good luck to this guy

You've made some bloody stupid mistakes mate, but it's clear that you did them with the best of intentions. You can always keep your head up high knowing you didn't lose your money doing anything bad, you had something horrible done to you by a gambling addict. See how it goes with the trial. But if it doesn't work out, bite the bullet and come home to Australia and sort your money out. Otherwise enjoy poverty...

I lasted six minutes, go home mate. Out of your depth over here, like a lot of people.
If you don't understand the culture you won't survive anywhere.
Many SE Asian women are tied very closely to their families and you won't live a western lifestyle in Thailand with a Thai wife.
As on older man and Patriarch you would be expected to pay out a lot anyway.

Sounds like he has no clue about business in general.
@@bettywith2girls Yes, foreigners can own a business 100% in Thailand depending what thw business is.
Don’t try to be a 2 bob millionaire while you are in Thailand which should allow you to find a simple sweet girl from a
Province .
Good luck.
Thankyou so much, I'm not the type of person to give up.
Interesting video and but instead of begging to survive he just needs to own his mistakes and go home and get a job. He has absolutely no future in Thailand with no money, no income and no way of making one. Even after he lost all his money, he left the rest in the highest risk asset class you could and then lost it all.
When you are down to your last savings you don't go and put it all on a horse called lunar
Sadly very true. Wonder what he looked like in 2018. Handsome young man!

A fool and his money are soon parted. A classic tale.😢
Thank God you didn't make it to the mental hospital. God bless you, Brian.
I think you're very brave to admit that you ignored every single bit of advice that's easily available online about what NOT TO DO in Thailand (or anywhere else either)
Owning and living the bar lifestyle, often with alcohol and drugs will usually cloud sensible judgement.
Yet, here we have another insensitive tool. Hope you never make a mistake.
Stupid desperate guys who only have money to offer
Exactly , it's always wiser to learn life's many lessons from other people's mistakes , blunders or unfixable fu#k ups .
How is Brian able to stay in Thailand visa wise ?
That is what I want to know
Either have a good lump in the bank, or "step out" every month, step into Laos, turn around and step back into Thailand and you get another months visa.
I feel bad for the guy but how many red flags do you need to see?
Because he is someone who makes the wrong decision at every opportunity.
If you see either of these 2 guys in Pattaya, dont open your wallet near them.
Overstay your visa and not able to pay the fine could well lead to jail time, not recommended in Thailand.
If i see you in Pattaya in March i would for sure buy Brian a drink and help him. Seems like a good heart guy.
The drinks more than likely what got him in trouble in the first, he seems like an alcoholic.
