Justin, I broke my femur in 2020. Long story short after multiple
Surgeries I can’t pass a dot physical any more. Videos like this let me get back out on the road and see the places I miss. Keep up the good work
Eastman Kodak was one of largest manufacturers and the largest employer in this area. They split and Kodak went to Mexico years ago. They still are a huge producer of chemicals.
Eastman operates independent with there on infrastructure, fire department, etc.
Big G driver here, that’s our East TN yard. Pretty nice place; automatic truck wash, repair shop, showers, and nice drivers lounge.
Very cool!
First time I ever saw that. I like it! Seal it, even though it's empty. He's right, makes it easier on everyone. And, your door won't bounce open. Yeah, I've had places have me slide the tandems, drop the trailer, pull ahead with the tractor and give them the keys. Plus, use the hook on the ICC bar and a glad hand lock. Whew!!! Don't worry! That's not going anywhere! Lol
Justin you work so hard for your wife T-dubs and 3 sons and when you are home it's all about the family and fix things that break I can't wait to see what your other truck looks like when you finally get that done
I drove truck for 50 years had seven trucks one at a time had Cummins engines and if you drive them right the heavy loads, don’t really hurt them
Justin the yellow piping you're seeing on the sode of the road in different places, looks like gasline pipe.
Justin your rambling is a talent, apreciate it
When World War I made it hard to get raw materials, Eastman Kodak founder George Eastman wanted an independent supply of chemicals for his photographic processes. After the war, he turned his attention to the forests of the southern U.S. In 1920, Tennessee Eastman was born in Kingsport. In the coming decades, the company created to deliver a handful of chemicals quickly became a creative force in the materials industry.
Those yellow things from other video are use for underground water retention ponds, instead of wasting space, if the soil perks good enough, you can do it underground out of sight
That’s awesome thank you
@@JustTruckin next big commercial job we do, ill grab a video if your interested
Justin, great video. Tennessee is Definitely beautiful. Good thing ya found that part alot cheaper than at the Kenworth store 😅. That load and unloading went smooth 🎉. Safe travels heading home. Fingers crossed ya find another load soon. God bless you 🙏✨.
Was at that Eastman plant just once in 1989. None trucking related.
I have to say this was a very enjoyable video thru those mountains.
Our RV sits on 22.5s so we are about the same seat height of your ole Volvo with huge front windows. I always wanted to have a drone in follow me mode down one of those big grades.
I LIVED IN Tennessee in the 1960s as a young lad in Cleveland then moved to Cartersville, GA in 1967.
My father opened a trucking terminal there for a now defunct PTL Trucking, If I recall they had about 500 rigs, lol all cracker boxes.
I pushed a broom in that shop. They sold out to a competitor in 1968.
No wonder I turned into a gearhead huh. Lol
I remember Pascal Truck Line. Same?
You don’t pull enough hills enough of the time to shorten your engine life trucks out here in the Pacific Northwest pull hills all the time and their engines last a very long time. It boils down to how a person drives their truck
Very true
That is Eastman /Kodak of Tennessee Justin . It is a small city in itself in Kingsport its about 45 minutes from the John Deere facility in Greeneville where I live near . You picked up lawnmowers there once before
Man I tell ya, going to Asheville for my 45th was such a great trip. Glad you mentioned the Biltmore. That place was awesome !!! I'll be back again at some point on the bike. That was a 2200 mile trip with the Harley. Loved every minute of it. One day I'll have to take a ride to Simpsonville.
Traveling the 11 western states for the past 8 years, that mountain reminds me of the grapevine i5 or the donner pass on the 80 west bound. Hello from Arizona
Grapevine brings back memories
Those yellow pipe is gas line pipe. I use to run up to Johnson City alot in a daycab alot when I first started driving.
Dang you’ve done it all man 😎🙏🏽
@@JustTruckin just a lil bit.
Justin,
Keep your effort going!!
Safe travels home.
Hey Justin Asheville is definitely a free spirit vibe. Wife and I love going down there
Hey Justin.
3 years sgo a heart attack put me down for a double bypass. Covid i caught in hospital has hung around ie long covid. So life sucks for us now. I miss many of the places you get to😊see. Always loved going over the Jacksonvilke bridge. Especially at night.
Beckley was another fav place.
But no more driving snowbird cars to Fla. For me. Miss driving big time.
Keep the rubber side down bro.😂
Appreciate the support brother 🙏🏽 Stay strong! ♥️😎
The Eastman Place is almost the same as back in '04 & so is the place where U reloaded. Been 2 both a few times.
We had a nice 500 mile ride yesterday, and was in and around the same vicinity as you. If I had known that you was laying over I would have took you to lunch brother. Be safe!!
Hello, glad you were back. Hope you had a wonderful day.
Honestly hills are good for the motor. Puts steady boost on it helps keep rings seated over life of motor. Babying turbo motors is horrible for life of it
Trucks are built the Haul Loads over different environments!!!!! Completely Agree!!!!!!👍🏾🙌🏾
Great video Justin , love the weather , the scenery and the rambling.look forward to tomorrow's 👍👍
Great trip into mountains of NC and TN. Safe travels my friend.
My old company was a big believer in Cummins motors. Except for the Macks that came all Mack equipped. We had KW's and Macks. Trailers were Great Danes and Wabash.
Those hotdogs are for a drive thru that is called pals it's just a place in the east Tennessee and south wast Virginia area. They put them on top of the building
I hollered at you this morning just on the north side of travelers rest on 25 as your were heading up towards 26
Woo-hooo!!!!!! Back 4 Another Gr8 Episode!!!!!!!🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🇺🇸📢📢📢📢📢📢📢📢📢📢📢📢📢📢😎👍🏾🙌🏾🎥📹📽📸💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵
You should take your kids rafting / tubing on that nolichucky river in erwin tenn..
Yhey absolutely will luv it... it's right on the river and it's safer than most folk belive
When I come threw Columbia SC I want to stop and meet you that would be awesome be safe out there
i wish i had known you were coming threw unicoi county ,i would have met you at the foot of the mountain.work for Ems in unicoi county
I live in Bristol, maybe get a chance to meet you when you are up this way some time. Be safe.
We have an old Eastman plant in Columbia exit 119 on 26….Now called Dak
Eastman was a part of the Kodiak companies. I believe they were more into the chemicals involved with film development and processing.
It looks like cabover is making a comeback in America which will be cool to see
Hey Justin did you see the sign on the door on the left at the nice older gal on your 2nd pickup?.it said tornado shelter that's kinda scarry.
😢
Turbo speed sensors are on back order around here in TN
That exit ramp in Ashville is horrible. I've seen so many accidents from bad merging, its crazy. If i had paid attention to your last vid id have met up with ya and bought ya lunch!
Big G main terminal is in Shelbyville Tennessee.
i think Eastman had something to do with Kodak film back in the day.
🤔🙏🏽
Cool you were in my neck of the woods .I'm in Jupiter after Weaverville before Mars Hill later
Hey Justine I laughed when you said they took your keys while they unload you ,a few years back I was delivering to a Dairy Distribution cold store ,the forklift driver took my keys while he unloaded and reloaded me ,shift change he went home with my key took them 4hours to get him back with the keys, gotta keep a sense of humour in this game mate
Cheers Kym
Adelaide
Better have your antifreeze check out cause it's almost time for hot weather. Our freaking air conditioning unit took a bleep. Lucky it's still under warranty and they had to fix it and it works excellent. The kid's was happy coming from work and I was like nice and cool now. Jesse and Nana and Gigi are in New Mexico for the night taking the scenic route in the morning. He just went to sleep while we watched this video and another channel we follow.
Nice truck
that was the main terminal for Big G .Greenville /Mosheim tn
Biltmore Estate is badass cool recommend it to everyone.
Tennessee is my home state. Unfortunately, I'm living in Illinois. The factory that I work at makes 100% of the wheels for Kubota.
Your in my home town area we leave in Limestone we are between Greeneville and Johnson City
Hey Justin how is the cabover restoration going?
Do you ever worry while you leave the truck running and you’re not in it ?
Kinda of like the runaway truck ramps at the Grapevine going up towards Valencia.Ca.
You’re in Tim Gentry county.
Thats there main for Big G. They moved from Morristown Tn
Hey Justin,Katie and the Boys.
Big G opened that terminal last year , not a driver just live in Greeneville.
It's a good thing that you didn't have to go to what they call the inland it was not made for much more than a straight truck
Justin, I cringe every time you hit a bridge or expansion joint and it really rattles the truck ! I am amazed that you don’t have more broken springs or suspension parts !
You've never driven before?
It scares the bleep outta me when I am in the sleeper and Jesse's driving.
Eastman , if it’s a chemical place it used to be part of kodak ie,Eastman/Kodak . If it is ,it had something to do with gelatin,as in chemical gelatin.
awesome video justin
Are you heading to Nashville?
Very enjoyable video.
Just dropped 3200 on two sensors and a harness for my one box on cascadia still have the same problem
Horrible
Call a company called area diesel is there a hell of a lot cheaper on turbo stuff injectors and pumps look them up they're really good people the dealer can really Rheem you
Elbow room said Daniel Boone!
Eastman is the company that owned Kodak film and does so many other chemical they make filters and other items place holds like 59 companies in one if not from them Kingsport would not exist
40 minutes 18 seconds is a wake up call if I ever heard one
If you notice, it's always alot of construction during an election year. You have to spend that leftover money so you can get more.
What code did you get with that speed sensor?
Turbo Speed
Would you buy the w900L again? I’ve got the cash but my first rig is paid off.
Yes it’s the Cadillac of trucks I’d just try to get one with a Detroit 60 series
@@JustTruckin gotcha, so a rebuilt used would be preferable to a new one w/ the Cummins? I always figured I’d rather deal with the emissions engine than deal with a 20-30 year old chassis/electrical wiring rig.
check eng light temp repair black tape !
Turbo speed ? Pretty sure thats the inlet temp sensor!
What are you hauling today
I know I've probably missed it, what year is your W900?
Just wondering if setting up an account through Kenworth would help you get discounts for parts? I know it works that way with places like Napa or Orielys for some parts
Definitely
What up Justin how are you doing
Can you please ask t-dubs if she can make me a moderator on her RUclips channel please
eBay have those sensors for let’s than $100
So our boys in the special forces run drills to test security at nuclear sites , they must've been successful getting weaponds past that one
The comings is 3 times the moter than a Detroit
Tim Gentry said he was interested in your FLD
Linda Eastman was Paul McCartney's wife until she passed away in 1998 of breast cancer.
If your hauling to a nuclear power plant I'm guessing your never going to get pulled in because they are for sure tracking you water or not .
Eastman chemical makes all sorts of chemically based products, plastics etc
Thank you 🙏🏽
Do you remember Jolt Cola?
Yup 😂
You also call it “stab braking”
I thought the term was "stab" your brakes. I drove for 18 years and never heard of surging your brakes.
Eastman is the name of the parent company of Eastman kodak in basic it is a comical company
My bumper would of been bent again. 😂😂😂😂
😂 came outta nowhere
Good evening y'all WOW I'm late lol
Eastman Kodak. With the advent of digital Kodak basically doesn’t exist anymore except in high end/specialized film. I mean you can find Kodak everywhere but it’s not the company it once was.
Everything is over priced these day's..
Free spirits in Asheville?? What are you talking about man? Lol
Cummins isx turbo 7900😢
Can you please ask t-dubs if she can make a moderator on her channel please 🙏
“Thorofare”?
they needed to save space on the sign
A cnn news guy grew up in the biltmore but I can’t think of his name.i don’t watch cnn! Of coarse I’m a patriot!
When going down hill turn your main engine fan ( if possible) on also….
River = mosquitoes! 😬
"In 1994, Eastman Chemical Company spun off from Eastman Kodak to become an independent corporation. Today, we’re a global specialty materials company. Our many products include innovative films for electric vehicles, resins that make high-performance medical devices more durable, and recycled Eastman Renew materials for sustainable water bottles and cosmetic cases. And those materials still bear the name of the man who started it all: George Eastman." - eastman.com
Did you see what the government paid for a bag of plastic clips? 😂😂
