This is by far the most moving depiction of Jesus Christ, and very heart breaking. Some scenes are very hard to watch but Jesus took up his cross for us. I’ve been watching The Chosen now and why it is great is because they have the time to get to know these figures in the Bible more intimately. I don’t think they are showing Jesus as a happy Jesus but a more human Jesus, after all, he was a man sent to Earth by his Father. We are getting to know all these people and I know I don’t think I can watch Jesus get crucified because we are getting to know him and love him more than any other. That’s be cause Dallas has the time to show all sides of Jesus that an hour or 2or3 could not. I feel closer to Jesus now. If we have a sense of humor I’m sure Jesus also had one. He was on a very serious mission but I’m sure he had light moments with his apostles. People without a sense of humor are very sad humans and not easy to be around. THE PASSION shows the holiness of Jesus and THE CHOSEN shows the human side. Together They are great.

Dear Mac Mac, Please correct me if I am wrong. Jim Caviezel is a mighty gospel preacher. Did I really hear him say that if he had died in his re-enactment/ performance of Jesus on the cross that it would have brought many to Christ? Can we say there is a high probability of this, or did he say that God told him this? ..and Did God tell him (Jim Caviezel )that it is a blessing to worship/ pray to Mary eventhough Jesus neither His apostles, not even Simon Peter taught this to the early church or in Jesus's Words & commandments or wisdom. Matt.7, v24-26.. This is very serious for our childern to be taught correctly & not mis-led.

Respect to those to whom respect is due. Do you really think that Mary, who was the closest human to Jesus(God), being his mother, who was the closest human to the Holy Spirit(God), after the union in the Holy conception, was a mere human? Mary was the house of God for 9 Months (pregnancy), if the Ark became important after carrying God, do you think Mary wouldn't? Mary was there when the church was born, pentecost. The Catholic Church doesn't adore Mary, you can only adore God! The church respects the Saints (dulia), and from the saint no one deserves more respect than Mary (hyperdulia), she literally held the choice that affected humanity as a whole, do you think God would just offer Jesus to be born in another woman if she said no? EVERYONE abandoned Jesus in his Passion, only Mary followed him through it in COMpassion, suffering silently seeing his suffering. Jesus said with his own words in the cross, "Son here is your mother." Why do you think he said that? And be careful when quoting the Bible by your own interpretation, even Satan quoted it to attack Jesus. "Catholicism isn't biblical Christianity" yet if asked to point to a church, who throughout every century gifted birth to SAINTS, people who live the way CHRIST intended, seeking his PATH, there is only ONE possible church, isn't it? Or do you think a protestant church layed out any EXAMPLE through the 500~ years of it existence? To judged a Church you need to look to the people who live the teachings the way it is intended, and if in this way your life IS like CHRIST them this is the true Church, and Jim Caviezel was right in his commentary.

Mary was a just a human like everyone else, a sinful human like everyone, one who needed saving like everyone else.
Roman Catholicism is heresy. You preach a false works based gospel, sacraments, papacy, popes, infant baptism, purgatory, the rosary, praying to the saints, Mary being sinless, Mary being the queen of heaven, Mary the co-redeemer, the list goes on, the Roman Catholic church is heretical, it denies the truth of God and teaches the commandments of men.
