I agree. Yoshi was the quintessential Philip. Regardless of what caused him to leave, this first scene and when he injures his foot returning from the Decapolis. Oh, and before that, when Leander fell into Andrew's home. It's not just the writing - IMO it's the delivery😊❤😂
If they would just give Philip's new actor the same kind of funny dialogue that fits the character Yoshi played all this time, maybe it wouldn't feel so much like Philip is just gone....

I have only seen 1 and 2 thus far. However, when I went back and started watching from S2 E2 on, Philip was in so many scenes and definitely made an impact in each.
I did notice the new Philip is still very empathetic like the old. You can see him getting very emotional during times when others were emotional, like when Martha was distraught or when Jesus wept. @@darlenecopeland1522
Listen, Dallas gotta bring this man back. No hate towards the new actor but man this was gold. The chemistry this actor had with the others, his wit and character was just so good. He was the perfect Phillip. I can’t remember one word the new Phillip has even said. They kinda doing him bogus with the script they’ve given him
i believe yoshi as philip showed more lines and emotions than reza as philip. no hate to reza, but i was able to feel the presence of philip more when the character was portrayed by yoshi.

Yoshhi as Philip was far betterbthan the new guy. If the change was done because they didn't want Phillip to be too much like Jesus like I read was tbe reason for the change to me the reasoning lacked wisdom. The last episode Yoshi was in the writing nade him look rather stupid and pouty. And the new Philip is totally uninntersing.
