Good to see the onions and the garlic coming through, it’s always my favourite bit seeing things push through and start to grow, especially this time of year.
@@Petetrenouth hey Pete. It's great isn't it. We haven't had a great success of onions or garlic this season. Leaf miner seen to that. But after speaking to a lot of experienced growers, I'm hopeful for next years crop. I'm also setting my giant ones away that Jimmy sent me as part of your challenge 🙌🏽😊
The rats and mice will collect potatoes or other vegetables and try and hide them. Your not so Scary with the costume on, that what me and Eric think........🤣 🍂🍁Happy gardening, Terry King.
@@terrykingsallotmentgardening haha the potatoes are still there, just the tops never seemed to grow back after our first frost beginning of September. Ohhhh I like to scare people so I'll try harder next time 🤣🤣 Have a great week Terry. 😄🌺
That wandering flimsy … it was polite about its little shuffle. Thankfully didn’t break. Those bulbs are huge! Only downside to alliums is how much the leaves did back as they flower, so I’m making sure to have things growing around the base of them this time too.. to hide the foliage. Looks like you’re going to have success with the onion sets. 15:56 Grow babies, grow. Garlic is doing well too. Love the toying with plans over the arch. I’m like that too.. so indecisive. It’ll come to you, where you prefer it to be. Love the flower pots from your grandad’s. ❤
@@TheFarmyardGarden eee Clare I got such a shock lol glad it didn't damage it self though 😂 I'm going to have to dig the aliums up due to the flimsy moving. The whole bed needs redoing and the flimsy is going to have a new home. I hope the onions are going to do well. First time I've ever grown them deep, I usually just pop them in where there's a bit sticking out the soil. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽 The flowers do look lovely. Need a good hair cut and I'll pop them in the greenhouse over winter
I just harvested a tiny purple cauli too 😂 So weird how the flimsy greenhouse got shunted like that with the base and everything. Glad it was all fine tho ❤
From what I remember they have giant spreading leaves too 😮. You can apparently leave the dahlias in the ground but mulch to keep them from freezing. Or lift them dry them out and store in a cold place. 4:41 not a dead body I hope 😅😅. WOW a walking poly tunnel but yes they are like kites. Snapdragon in with the dahlia and a fuschia next to it. Cold here and pouring. Have a great week guys, Ali ☔️🥶🇨🇦 Oh lord perhaps the ghost 👻 can scare out the slugs 🐌
@@myrustygarden yeah Clare just mentioned they have a lot of leaf fall. They'll need to be moved now though as that bed will have to be re done 🤨 blooming flimsy flying away like that 😂 Ahh snapdragons! That's them. My Nana had a massive patch of those years ago, she showed me they talk of you press the sides in when I was about 6 🤣 always made me smile when I see them. Will I need to protect them or just cut back and leave the bulbs to come back next year? I'm hoping that too. Have a Spooky week lovely 😄👻😘
@@ericandrachallotmenteers oh what a beautiful memory Rach 🥰 no mine comes back every year and saving seeds to chuck is as easy as making the skull as I call them smile 👍 I’m hoping cutting back my dahlias and putting them on the dry porch is enough I don’t like plants I need to dig up and pamper 🤣🤣
Ya missed an onion under the 2nd board you turned over Rach ( 11.24 ). I dont know much about flowers but ( 12.58 ) looks like a fuchsia. If you choose not to tell us then you are keeping it a secret, so dont lie 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
