Thankyou for creating a great cost effective seed growing area- I think I have similar racking already- so I’m going to have a go and make the foil cardboard surround-great idea! Will take a look at the lights too as I have some cheap strip lights which can go on one shelf. The new beds look great too 🙂

I would keep what’s not broken because when I bought mine, I didn’t put it up straightaway because it was on offer a the end of the season. By the time I did put it up I realised poles and connectors were missing, so I had to buy some new.
@@ndcoxhead I thought about it but everything gone now 🫣 I have some poles and corner fittings from another one. We have seen one on lidls partner site, parkside, so may purchase that once we work out space 👍🏽
Glad you only suffered minimal damage Rach, I like the new look bed, i like it that much i would make eric sleep in it overnight with only a fleece to keep him warm 😂😂😂. Ya chop n drop looks like its rye grass. You should keep all the undamaged connectors if you are deciding to get a new flimsy. Enjoyed the video Kiddo 👍

Good idea to make use of some of the connectors for cloches. The new planters look lovely. I can tell how proud you are of that. If you have the same teddy bear sunflower seeds that I had, they don’t grow much taller than daffodils/tulips (well mine didn’t last year)

Id grow all the Casablanca now and replant some of the harvested potatoes for Christmas, it should be about the right time. Grow tent looks great, if i can't get a new cover for mine i will do the same.👍👌😁

@ericandrachallotmenteers sorry not now but when you would normally plant them. Or maybe plant some early in little pots and pot them on when it gets warmer. If I can get my greenhouse to my new house in a couple of weeks then I will be planting some early potatoes, deffo keep frost free. 👍👌

Oh no Rach! Yeah those flimsy's fall over when you sneeze. We have one but have it upstairs now with our pots and canning jars in. You never know you might be able to save some of those poles for a mini frame? We call the people who collect the metal - metal knickers! lol That indoor shelving looks fab and might be what we are looking for in the utility area as we need something narrow. There's currently a long train of stuff on the floor atm and always running out of space. Hehe New beds look great. Fingers cross the giant alliums come up so you know where they are. @@ericandrachallotmenteers Yes the plastic doesn't last long though. I think it is just where the poles are too light. I think it was outside for a good few years. We got fed up of picking our greenhouse shelving up in light winds. We have the space for it in doors to keep the pots slug free and dry and also the boxes of jars for canning. I like the fact your new indoor ones have wheels too. The greenhouse one is too wide/deep for where we need it. It's free delivery too so hopefully hubby agrees to it as just what we need. Our trays are about 30 cm x 60 cm so it should fit.
Great new set up Rach for the seed sowing 👍definitely keep the connectors mine all broke with the weight of the snow couple weeks ago over my sprouts. when your chopping its rye grass great for soil structure and helps losing nutrients out of the soil, one of many green manures, Steve, ps close to 1K subs 🙂 👍

Could you use some of those pipe for anchoring blue pipe? 1 of my giant allium is up but not the rest. Wooden dowels when you have scrap pipe 😅. your chop and drop looks like rye grass. the winds have been horrendous around the country. here in manchester, i feel like we were lucky. winds were approx. 40 - 50 mph for about half a day. for me , personally, i was even luckier. my polytunnel isn't clipped to the framework, so it was a concern to me. it survived......................brian
