- During the late 1970s Compton's Westside Pirus inspired a new Piru set in Carson which eventually became the Scottsdale Pirus in the late 1970s or very early 1980s.
We met up with several SDP members in the Avalon Village section of Carson and learned about their community, their history and life in this section of Carson, California. OG Brian "Wounded B" Henderson talks about getting shot 9 time on Paradise Ave back in 1987.

''Keystone'' off main street and Dominguez . ''Scottsdale'' Housing units off Avalon and Sepulveda . Some parts off ''Victoria Park'' by Avalon and Victoria.'' Realty st'' off Avalon and Sepulveda headin twoards Wilmas by the train tracks. And what used to be ''Night Crawlers'' but now is Cst or Swc , Main st and 234th st by Anchor Liquor. And some places in ''Scott Park'' Mostly where the alleys are.

Carson is very beautiful. Carson is in the south bay. 2 of the worlds largest shipping ports are right next door. Both the Long Beach Port and the Port of Los Angeles are close by. Carson has major Japanese headquarters close by. I love all the young men and women from all the neighborhoods, no matter if they are active or not. I knew a few of the Scottsdale Pirus during the time of that homicide. They were saying that it was the Tongans who did it because some of the Samoans in the Scottsdale area were beefing pretty heavily with the Tongans from Inglewood at that time. but I did read on the LA homicide blog that the SUV used for the homicide headed east on Sepulveda towards Long Beach (so who knows what happened).. There was also another incident back in the mid 2000s when a Tongan started shooting up a Samoan Carson festival at Victoria Park before he got killed by the security guard working there.
Might have been T4L (Tongan Foe Life) from NS Long Beach. They beef with Samoan Pirus in Carson just like the Tongans in Inglewood do. That shooter at the Samoan festival was from T4L in fact. But it aint no Samoan vs Tongan beef, since they have a good relationship with SOS. I even heard from someone that the Inglewood Tongans, T4L and SOS have some kind of alliance.
