- This Agusan Marsh adventure I had was very unique and very spontaneous...
I randomly journeyed to the marsh without any support from tourism, or local connections. This was literally spontaneously showing up at a local Brgy. and then heading into the marsh through locals I met along the way.
What an experience!
Hanging out with a local community in Mihaba, Bunawan and experiencing their lives...
Inspiration.
This is my experience.

Yes, the Filipino people are so happy despite not having much. This is one of the things that attracts me to the Philippines. The world would be a better place if all US students were required to take a 3-4 week trip to the Philippines. Even I as an adult had no idea what life was like for other people. Until you actually see it it is hard to imagine. My wife comes from a squatter area in Cebu and I have visited there several times. (We now live together in the US Hawaii.) The Filipino people are so friendly and always laughing and smiling. Kids in the US have no idea how good they have it. We have so much to be grateful for. Thanks Kyle for your videos. You brought tears to my eyes with this one. I have visited many countries in the world but have never found people more friendly and happy in my life. God Bless the Philippines.

Hello all, I am mexican, but i am in love of Filipinas, i think its an amazing culture and very very amazing people, since some year ago i am think to move to live in Filipinas, but thanks to Kyle, it is not more a dream, i am startin to plannig to move there, ihope soon i can be there, and start to enjoy a real natural life, as i want to move to a small town in a farmland... Most of us can't even spend a day without our phones and tablets. These kids, they don't have what we have but they still smile. Humbling indeed. It's not easy living their life, kudos to them

that remiand my own childhood... its amazing, i tell to my kids how we played together on the street even with a sandals like those kids, and my daugther say, "¿tha t do you think technology its its a demage? i think it is in many ways, thats why i want to leave the big cities...
i would choose to be a poor and hungry person with full of true and lovely friends with family than a rich but your alone with fake friends.

i grew up in the street of Manila and ive been thru all the hardships and pain being on my own and helpless..but that was my past..I have seen the world and it's beautiful.. there is so much to do and there is so much to see..watching his video is so inspiring and beautiful..for kyle to be in the extreme is something..doesnt really matter if you're poor or wealthy..just try to understand that we are all human and sharing the same planet..

went back 30 some years ago when the last time I played it!! I saw my pinoy friends in USA and Canada they are doing well big houses nice cars!! but when i watch a video like this I missing home too much!! We are happy even our tummy is growling while playing street games!!!!! I so promise to myself I will come back home... forget about the big houses and nice Cars.. Let your heart and soul be happy, they don't need dollars to do so!!

i just don't get it other people like you are in buildings doing office works earning dollars and they never get satisfied, or doing blogs to prime resorts pretending to try Filipino things but actually its BS they just want fame like those Will blogs type of crap but you here you are walking bare foot on dirt, eating worms, smiling and laughing with humble people who lives poorly but still your excited and content and asking for more. i miss this place in mindanao the agusan marsh..i've been working on this place for almost a year in 2011 and back to 2013 for the research of crocodiles in agusan marsh and all areas in marsh land. this place is wonderful, theres a lot of species in marsh that you cannot see in other places in the philippines and in other country from flora to fauna. the manubo tribe are still performing their retuals. you can see floating houses and schools and all communities are floating..the living is very simple. the people are so accommodating. until now still i remember those days..how i wish i could go back on this place..this lake is mihaba lake were the incedent happened that lolong did. thanks for sharing this video kyle. god bless!
