Now that we have survived the 3rd fake winter in Michigan it's finally time to bring the Z06 out of hibernation! It has been 6 months since I was able to drive the car, and I have missed it quite a bit. First order of business is getting the car off the trickle charger, warmed up and first quick drive to get things going. Damn you introduce a new GF and already talking about buying a power wagon. I got mine a 2007 Chevy Aveo and that was after a marriage and a kid. lol I cant imagine not being able to ride in a new vett for 6 months. Trade for a new E-ray and you wont have to store it 👍👍
I always felt that idling your car for long periods to "warm it up" is one of the worst things you can do for the engine. Start it, let it run for a minute, then drive it slowly until all operating temps are normal.
I feel like this is a forever endless debate 🤷♂️ I always let the car idle to at least 100-120F before driving.
