her acting skills are insane. she's soo so talented. everytime she smiled it felt genuine and every single voice intonation, every facial expression was spot on. not to talk about her accent and posture...I love her.

Young Margaret was the best character on the show, she was real an struggling. She made decisions that fit her character well.

I once read an article about Princess Margaret and how some friend of hers, an author I forget the name of, had once considered her as being too intelligent for her station in life. I think that might have been another factor, aside from the ill-fated romance with Peter Townshend, that led to her being so unhappy. Then her marriage to Antony-Armstrong Jones, by then Earl of Snowdon eventually failed. I believe through all the time that passed, until her last breaths, Townshend was the only man who could have ever truly been it for Princess M. It's kind of sad that due to the protocol of that time period that it could never be.
This is exactly what I think. She truly loved Peter and no one else.
it was ok to let her marry a known bisexual but not Townsend
Joanie Adams and the only sin he made was that he was divorced..ridiculous in my opinion
It truly is a shame that Charles was eventually "allowed" to marry the love of his life but Margaret was denied that joy...it would have been nice to see that play out with Peter Townshend.

@@k-loops7921 That is what I find a bit strange about the Crown! In season 1 and 2 Philip is quite kind and compassionate towards Margaret, but then in season 3, like you said, it is quite the opposite! I feel like unfortunately, all the characters became more mean and dislikable after season 2, especially Elizabeth and Philip.
Margaret is an absolutely fascinating individual, she is an amazing personality in her own right.

before saying anything ,George the 6th would've been proud of both his daughters no matter what just like a father should .She wanted Peter ,not really Tony let's be honest about that . Margaret always wanted Peter . Maybe she wanted Tony in the beginning of that relationship but her heart always belonged to Peter . But ,when the Queen decided to send Peter off we all know Peter wasn't coming back to be with Margaret without a fight . It's sad Peter found someone else but I truly believe he wasn't happy either . I do well hope they found each other in the afterlife sort of say .

Princess Margo was honestly one of my favorite characters in the show just bc of how well she was portrayed. Vanessa was the cake, Helena was the cherry lol, for lack of better analogies lol. Vanessa portrayed Margaret to be the restless fighter. Helena portrayed her to be the “princess who’d given up.” Same with Olivia Colman. Olivia & Claire acted with the same brilliance. Ugh just love the Crown.
Save to say that Vanessa Kirby stole the show. What a performance!
For all her detractors, it has been reported that Princess Margaret was a wonderful mother. That says a lot in my book.
The kids grow UP with nannies. The Real Margaret wouldnt wake UP before noon... Every body loves Margaret because her portray on the crown and the amazing Vanesa Kirby... But the reality is that Margaret was not half as nice as the crown shows.. Except that she had a close relationship with her dad and sister.

Why is no one blaming Peter Townsend tho. He was a royal staff. He shouldn’t have allowed something like that to happen. He was not a responsible man at all. He destroyed Marget
Peter was very very wrong for screwing around with his employer's underage daughter as an older married man with kids...but he didn't destroy Margaret. She did that to herself with the drinking, fast living, and piss poor choices in men after she decided to ditch Peter for the money and her titles.
