- Sommarnatt, the title track of this cycle of 4 excellent pieces by swedish composer Haegg. This one is my favorite and I honestly enjoyed listening to it again now in the process of making the video. So relaxing, just what I needed; hope you like it too!
Gustaf Hägg (1867−1925)
Gustaf Wilhelm Hägg was an organist and composer, born in Visby 28 November 1867 and died in Stockholm 7 February 1925. In 1891 he was hired as temporary organist in Klara Church, Stockholm, and became the permanent organist in 1893. He taught harmony at the Royal Conservatory of Music from 1904−08, and from 1908 he taught organ (as professor from 1915). In 1915 Gustaf Hägg became a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music and is today most well known for his organ compositions; in addition he composed piano and chamber music, including a piano trio.

Thank you for this soothing piece. That is what I need right now.
Thanks for posting. What a lovely piece! It’s tranquil mood gives me solace, which in turn gives me perspective and direction in stressful times. It’s such a pity that people don’t write music like this anymore, which tells us much about the modern world.
It's a soft and sweet piano music, it sounds pleasant and harmonic to any sensitivity.
How beautiful... To have lived that time -- maybe I have?
It was a really bad day for me. I was in a deep sorrow, and this piece helped me chill out a little bit. Life is the weirdest adventure. Thanks for sharing 🥲🤷♂️😊🖖🌌
I really like the phrasing at 1:58 or so, the way you really enunciate the atypical rhythm with heavy rubato.
mesmerizing rubato and playing, bravo!
