Thanks for the update! Had to call the park today to move my booking as i was due to go Monday & Tuesday and a stay in the shark cabins - too risky coming from up north. They were really accommodating and changed my booking within minutes and gave me 2 free fast tracks for Hyperia which i'll get on arrival 🙂
That’s really good to hear excellent customer service and the fast tracks will come in very handy 😄 Thank you for watching and for the support much appreciated 🙌
Thanks for the update. Honestly, I've stopped rushing to the park as soon as a new attraction opens. Firstly, the lines are usually too long for my taste. Secondly, I've noticed in recent years that parks often have to delay the opening date because they aren’t quite ready, or they encounter technical issues with the new ride. These things are common, but many people still want to be among the first, even if it means being just one in a crowd of thousands.🤷♂️
We get where your coming from I think this the the tallest and fastest in the U.K. now of course people are very excited to ride it, you will have a better experience going later to ride it like you said you won’t be queuing up for 5 hours for it for a start, wish we could all be as patient as you that’s for sure 🤣
I don't think the delay will be too much longer and is just due to testing and maybe it will reopen at somepoint next week or hopefully by next weekend! I think it is great how Thorpe Park have kept us updated and the park and Mack Rides are doing their very best to get Hyperia ready and safe to reopen!
I think you could be right I’m expecting testing to start very soon and although it won’t Be open on Saturday I’m hoping it will be testing at least 🤞 Totally agree with you Thorpe and Mack rides have worked incredibly hard in what looks like a complex job it’s worth the wait once it reopens
@@AdventureTimesUK haha oh no that's not what I was exoecting, I'm just getting ready for bed now the sun has started shaming me by lighting the sky up. Have fun at work! I'd it makes you feel better I was up working, editing client work
Don’t believe that article then 🤣 testing will start very soon cranes are gone the job at a guess is nearing completion or it’s finished will just be the testing that is needed hence the delay
you should be able to change your ticket without any issues through customer services. BUT! we are hopeful that its a couple of days rather than weeks. only time will tell though.
So many people dont understand that sometimes parts fail on new rides (for multiple reasons) and this is par for the course with unique rollercoasters. The kinks have not been worked out like cookie cutter ones!
Yes parts fail but you can't really justify it by saying uts because hyperia is unique, it has one unique element and that is not where the problem is it's the lift hill and the lift hill isn't that unique is it, uts a pretty standard lift hill for a hyper coaster, all new coasters can have problems wheather it is "cookie cutter" as toy say or not
In the description there’s a link to Ryan the ride mechanic who doesn’t know anything official but gives a pretty good guess what could be wrong with it give it a watch
Really sad with the statement that the park put out today as it's now all but confirmed that I'm going to miss Hyperia when I visit on the 13th but, totally understandable with testing and stuff that needs to be done again. Ah well. Will have to wait till next year to ride it now!
Not necessarily, it depends on how long they need to test the new part, some people have said 2 days but others have said a week. we have our fingers crossed for you!
@@AdventureTimesUK Yeah I think I'm just going to view it as I'll be missing it this year (can only get to the parks once per year due to cost and distance) But! If it does open by Thursday and we do get a ride then that's a Brucey Bonus!
honestly couldn't tell you, but i feel like we are looking at days rather than weeks. but obviously as nothing is confirmed all i can say is keep an eye on thorpes socials :)
Another amazing video 🎉
Thank you so much and thanks for watching 🙌

Thank you glad to hear it hoping for some more exciting news tomorrow 🤞
5:40 love how you said little updates after not pointing out the water dummies in the station ready for testing
im gonna be honest i dont think the dummies clicked with us 🤣 H :)
got my fingers crossed for monday 🤞
Let’s hope so 🤞

the lifthill chain was seen moving this afternoon!!
We saw, really good news 🤞
Thank you for the updates. Personally I can’t wait to ride it hopefully very very soon.
No worries! hopefully it wont be much longer!
Petrol must be cheap in your neck of the woods guys😂.. thanks for updates though
We have a diesel car so fuel goes further but tbh its not too bad! no worries at all! H :)
Costs me £65 in petrol for a return trip to Thorpe 😢
Glad to see I'm not the only one awake at 4am 😂
@chrisogrady28 I’m up too bus at 5 ready for work Chris :)

Latest update from thorpe says it wont be 8th, and cant say when. We were talking to a staff member today and said might be another few weeks 😢
Yh definitely won’t be open on the 8th now but interesting to what the staff member said I guess time will tell
Everyone should wait for Thorpe to announce the date before booking to prevent disappointment
Agreed but everyone is excited for this coaster it’s easy to get carried away 😂 all we can say is it’s worth the wait ☺️
@@AdventureTimesUK True
Didn't expect this I thought you wouldn't be there today
heheh we gotta get those updates! H :)
Also the cattle pen by colossus is back up too today. So mixed signals really.
That’s stayed up from opening it never went
Loving the dedication guys!! ♥️♥️
hahah thank you! H :)
I saw a BBC article saying it will be closed for the forseeable future😢
Don’t believe that article then 🤣 testing will start very soon cranes are gone the job at a guess is nearing completion or it’s finished will just be the testing that is needed hence the delay
@AdventureTimesUK i just checked the app, and it agreed with the article. I'm not sure what the issue is this time since your video seems positive
@@danielward4868 we’re not going to claim we know can only go by what we see with our eyes and we are confident by the weekend it will test 🤞
Oh no i just watched the news and im worried cause i got a 29 pound ticket and theres limited tickets so if they push it too far i cant go...

I think a lot of it is coming from frustration, people just wanna get on it lol I don’t blame them at all. Hopefully won’t be much longer though :)

I have just heard that hyperia isn't opening on the 8th of June
That is correct no date set yet as to when it will reopen other than very soon 🤞
@@AdventureTimesUKhyperia is differently not opening on the 8th of June I saw this on the thorpe park website
@knightrider2738 yup 👍
Is saw the ride back open ?
Yes it is
Going tomorrow. Hope Detonator is open. Was it operating today?
no sadly it was still closed today. H :)
Same
We will ride it when we can but would love to know what is actually wrong with it so we can understand why it's broke

No unfortunately not

im going on the 9th im gutted.
Gutted for you! Thorpe are allowing you to move your date though should you choose too :)
@@AdventureTimesUK im going on the 27th june too do u think it will be open by then???
But it's a brand new ride it should not break down that soon
Unfortunately every new ride has issues this is the tallest ride Mack has built these things can happen
we are their 11th and 12th what do you think our chances are?! 😅
