Im a total beginner, but your videos got me from occ raking a lock to actually picking one. Your video with the wire and washer showing actual tension and false sets , etc was pure genius.
Recently subscribed. I love this video in particular because you are describing in detail what you are doing... A little better than the other videos you have done. Im not a locksmith though i enjoy learning new things and this is an interest of mine. Thank you for the videos and keep up the great work.
Thank you, Bill! This is the lock that broke me. I was getting pretty deep into picking until I got one of these locks. After many hours, it kind of broke my will. Now I'll give it another go.
great give away for your supporters! Thanks for the great videos... I started picking because of your videos, it amazes me how easy some locks are... picked every thing in my house (except my american locks) with a paper clip and safety pin waiting for my sparrow set.
"I don't have any friends so I gotta to talk to Pins" The locksmiths life :D Great vid and quite the interesting lock for a beginner such as myself. I seem to find myself enjoying my pandiculation in my Geometry class while watching this video
Printed two of your trays up the other day vaped and painted them, had to shrink it down a bit for the UP mini, great little tray and a nice print, Thanks Bill
+bosnianbill Cheers! 674 other characters have as well! I printed this one bit.ly/1VEGBlb and a set of your plug followers and pick handles on the go at the moment in ABS, after a chat with a mechanic mate *may (if they can remember - beer might help that ) start keeping old wipers for tension wrenches.
Wow !! 😨 I just worked a double (16 hours) and woke up to see if you had more videos, to my suprise, I see i won the Sparrows Vorax kit !! "AWESOME" !! Cant wait to receive it, Thank You Chief Bill (Chief of the "Bosnian Bill Tribe"). i never win anything !! It feels good to win even the smallest things, yet this is just LARGE! This kit will be my work kit and have a special place in my "Bosnian Bill" compartment of my duty bag. Give your computer a beer for me. - Be safe out there "Brother", Thanks again.
Those Abus Titanium locks are great locks, I have one myself. That is the correct key for the lock, it is just that the warding is very precise so you would also have to be very precise with inserting the key.
you don't have to talk to pins. you have many flowers on the tube waiting for your great videos and your give aways are a wonderful bonus. keep it up! thank you
Bill I applaud the excellent production value of every video. The effort shows in your videos and I believe that is one of your greatest strengths. Keep up the great work! and I've been wondering, where do you work? Ever since you checked guns out of the armory I figured you were a government employee, maybe I just haven't been around long enough to learn. Thanks!
Bill I love your channel! I'm a beginner but getting better thanks to your videos! Would love to get a different padlock from you to test my skills and to progress - hope you see this comment
I recently bought a Zero bitted Titalium lock. Have about 3 hours into it and still haven't been able to SPP it. Give me more than 1 or 2 spools and I'm in the deep stuff! Good video Bill!
I ended up going with the Abus 83/55 with the new generation BiLock core. I can't wait to get it. I know I won't ever be able to pick it... But I will be able to lock it, and not have to worry about it!
you can gut these by drilling in the plugs on the side (hard to see) with a small bit, take some fitting selfcutting screw (e.g. a woodscrew), screw them in the holes and pull the plugs with a pair of pliers.
great vid man and congrats to that lucky man. i just had a Pandiculation as i sit in front of comp doing stats for my reserch on sleepy lizards behaviour. keep the good work up Bill
As I'm reading the comments, a lot of them have "pandiculation" in them, which was yesterday's secret word. Guys, there is no giveaway in this video. If you'd have actually watched it, instead of looking for secret word text (which was just the definition of yesterday's word), you'd know that. As for you, Bill, another outstanding job, and I'll continue to watch each and every one of your videos religiously. It's becoming a great learning tool for me. Thank you!
Nice. My Titalium 80TI/45 only has 5 pins. Are the 6-pin versions an overseas thing? And it's too bad it takes so long to 3D print those pinning trays. I'm sure a bunch of us (myself included) would buy one if you could keep a steady supply of them on hand.
Dang it I wanted that set. I just picked my first lock (yay me!) and now I'm hooked. I managed with some 'improvised' picks, but now I need some real tools...
I've just bought one of those locks but was struggling to pick it as I was feeling very little feedback I guess I'm not used to Spools yet. I will copy your technique and try again.
Hi Bosinanbill .......have been watching your vids and like them all , have been picking locks for a little while now , your vids help a lot and yes its just a hobbie
I'm a beginner and I have watched hours of these videos....can't beat Bill as a mentor!!!! I'm gonna be broke very soon if I keep sending away for reviewed Sparrow kits...OBSESSED!
I don't know if I've ever picked the spool off before what's the difference between that padlock and a Master Lock so to speak I'm just getting started and picking from watching the videos but I don't have the ideal set yet
+bosnianbill nah its ok, i do have a spare for that lock.. i bought a few abus's to try and must have got the wrong one.. bit embarrassing lol The lock you did had a very similar key bitting and that's why i sent it :)
+bosnianbill Incidentally, i saw George Takei (the guy from Star trek) shared you video of opening the master lock with a Zip tie so you might get a few more views.. Famous you are :)
I got that British man at Peterson (The kit assembler and customer service man) to sell me 2 extra "bosnianbill" thin serrated wrenches...they're cool in that they're not practical, but sometimes they're the only one that works and in my opinion they're an awesome and necessary kit! must feel cool that your hobby has turned into an international movement, I wonder if you realize how famous the faceless man is! lol
When he says binder, he is referencing the pin that is hung up or "bound up" against the core or bible. A fault set occurs when you have set a pin and the core turns slightly. Hope this helps!
"The stress of trying to pick the lock caused a false pandiculation. So, after a stretch, and yawn, he reset the the tension bar and resumed plying his rather dexterous craft." Congrats on your upcoming website. Hey, just a thought regarding your engraving the locks you send out. Why not make a stencil of your logo and use it as a guide? Might be nice to get a lock with your custom logo on it.
"I don't have any friends, so I gotta talk to pins"
LOL
the great thing about this lock is that it doesnt even cost 10 euros here in germany, which is about 12 us-dollars. i love them!
Im a total beginner, but your videos got me from occ raking a lock to actually picking one. Your video with the wire and washer showing actual tension and false sets , etc was pure genius.
FIRST!
Bill, I like how you narrate your train of thought. The way you attack solving problems has really helped me.

Thank you for the videos and keep up the great work.
Pandiculation is a new word for me! I learn something new with every video of yours I watch. Thank you!!
The best part about binge watching these videos is watching your thumb nails grow.
Great video, I don't think I could get in that lock to save my life. You make everything look so easy, I guess I'll go practice some more.
Nice picking Bill.
congrats to the winners, bill keep up the great work. im learning alot

Makes it look so easy!! I bought the Sparrows night school training kit, that's got some great training locks in it, and picks.

Wow, someone certainly is lucky!
Just went on Mad-Bobs' site, he is STILL in back-orders because of you.
2:49 "I don’t have any friends so i got to talk to pins". LOL... and the most amazing thing is: in Bill's case the pins talk back.
+Igor Petrusky You *do* realize that that is a diagnosable condition right?
Congrats to the lucky winner!
Nice Abus lock by the way :)
Pandiculation! I just inherited and picked my first Abus last week! very cool lock, full of spools. Thanks for the great videos Bill!
LOL "I don't have any friends, so I gotta talk to pins"

+bosnianbill thank you for the reply I will pick one of these up now off of your recommendations
Just ordered my first kit from peterson hoping for some action and non Pandiculation.
im new to Lock Picking what do you recommend for Beginner for Lock Pick Set
Thanks bill. Pandiculation Your morning stretch and yawn ! All i want is a bosnianbill lock from the locklab
Where can I get the file to print my own LOCK LAB pinning tray?
+Michael Torres - Never mind, found it on thingiverse. Thanks again Bill!
Bill, can you explain what binder, fault set and other terms mean? Thanks!
When he says binder, he is referencing the pin that is hung up or "bound up" against the core or bible. A fault set occurs when you have set a pin and the core turns slightly. Hope this helps!
Morning im liking the new logo!
"The stress of trying to pick the lock caused a false pandiculation. So, after a stretch, and yawn, he reset the the tension bar and resumed plying his rather dexterous craft."
Congrats on your upcoming website. Hey, just a thought regarding your engraving the locks you send out. Why not make a stencil of your logo and use it as a guide? Might be nice to get a lock with your custom logo on it.
Thanks to you I fell in love with my gem. :3

Pandiculation: when your frying pan gets caught in your ceiling fan.
My school locker has an Abus Titalium, either the smallest or second to.
