Awesome video and great engine sound
that was a great landing. i wish i cud go on an md80 soon
Thanks!
Appreciate it
Im glad i got to fly an AA super 80 before they are retired
I'm really surprised they used that much reverse thrust, AA never uses anything besides stupid idle reverse. That was awesome man!
If you think that, hear this MD-81 of Laser landing at Porlamar ruclips.net/video/sBKFJl5SEc4/видео.html
@@DL_Productions Ive seen all the Laser -80’s here on YT. They fly the hell out of them. When DL had their -88’s, I flew on as many as I can. Countless times, they’ve either used full reverse or close to full. American on the other hand... barley use anything
@@jonahair747 I remember when i flew in 2017 in an Aserca MD-82, i feel some different to other planes that i ever used like 737 or A318. Those Engine Jt8d are so pretty, have an excelent sound in take off and in landing when they used those full reverse. In venezuela, at least before the Pandemic, was so common see boeing 737-200 or Venezolana, Avior Airlines, Conviasa in 2011-2013 and Douglas MD-80s of Aserca, SBA, Aeropostal and Venezolana. Including an Airbus A340-200 of Conviasa.
@@DL_Productions I absolutely love the JT8D, all variants! The only engine I’m in love with!
Thanks for the comment! I love flying on the MD-80
ya haha i need to get on one before they are gone to!
Nice man!
Yes it was
a Sony HD handycam
Was that a 727 taxing while you we're landing?
These are sooo old and dangerous, why do they still have them?
they're being retired and no they are not "dangerous" the MD-80 series has one of the best safety record of any aircraft. Delta still has they're MD-88's but they're days will be numbered as a replacement has been announced.
