These Museums are great to visit Brenda and helps everyone who visits them realise how awful all wars are. We have to have history to look back on, both good and bad. I managed to visit The Air Forces Memorial at Runnymede a few years ago now to see one of my Australian relative's name there. He was in the Australian Air Force in WW2 and died when his Lancaster was shot down leaving England for Germany back in 1941. His body was never recovered. My father had always wanted to visit but never got chance so we stopped off on the way home one year and found his name in the Australian panel. I found it very emotional to read. So sad as well as he was just 21 years old. I know there are many who lost their life in conflicts all over the world and over many, many years but all those brave men who gave their life for their country should never be forgotten. Thank you for sharing your visit. Warm greetings, Julie🧡
I had never heard of this place until my Son went. He was so excited to bring us! They did such a great job on the displays. But it does make you stop and think about what happened. Im glad you got to the Australian Air Force Museum. It must had been bittersweet to your relatives name and so young. Such a very sad and hard times for the family's. We also go to another place every year.. its the Battleships. I get pretty choked up when we go. I have many family members who were or still are in the Military. My Son was in the Army over 8 years! Bless you my friend and thanks for watching. HUGS!
👍 #7 Good morning Brenda, this is the sort of place I would visit if ever I was anywhere near. I have ENORMOUS respect for fallen heroes. they never want to be known as heroes, despite their courage and bravery in battle. For me, it would not simply be a stroll through the museum and then out again. I would be more likely to stop at each 'exhibit' and think about the brave soldiers working the Cannon, or the Tank, or even walking in Battle at the rear of the Tank for a little further safety. To all those fallen in battle: 💗*We WILL Remember Them*💗 👍◕‿◕
We had never heard of this great place until last month when my Son went. Its not far from here about 30 minutes. They did such a great job on the displays. I agree with you,, I thought of all the young men and woman who went to battle. Coming from a big Military Family I think also of all the families waiting at home for the loved one to return. We go to another place called Battleship Cove that I get chocked up seeing the old letters written from the Moms, Wives etc. to their Loved ones!! I made two videos of that place,, Not sure if I will make another as I have done it before. Every time we go thou we see new things! YES!! We will remember them!! Hugs my friend!! Thanks for watching. I don't normally make video's this long.. I have so much footage it could had been well over and hour but that's way to long so I shortened it. Have a nice weekend my friend! Much love and hugs!
Wow this museum is EXCELLENT! Seems very high tech with all the screens and the flaming tank exhibit. Interesting how they have a slab of the Berlin Wall too.
I thought of you when we came here. no doubt you would enjoy this place. Also if I could do half as good as you do on editing Museum's then I did good. I love how you make your videos! You do such a great job.
Awesome! Thank you! I didnt know they had another place prior. I just heard about this place from Bryan! He went last month and loved it and couldnt wait to take us!! Hi to your Hubby!!
@@NaturesFairy Yup, we both had been in the Stow one which is where the Collings actually live and where my hubby worked. He was the only Veteran working there too. :) Glad you guys loved it!
@@NaturesFairy Oh, no worries! He had it made. He was basically a Yeoman to the Commander of the weapons Department on the USS Enterprise maiden journey. He handed out condoms and penicillin on the French Riviera. LOL!
