Amazon has been doing so well. I've been selling puts contracts weekly instead of monthly. I've been making $150-220 per WEEK($600-880/month)/per contract. Most recently, I sold 5 contracts(500 shares), at $185 which expires on April 26 and it looks like it's dropping quickly 😅. Not worried though, just a matter of time before it comes back up. Looks like I can still make some money selling call options at the $185 mark though.

I have never traded options, but what I get from this is the basic idea is first where do we think the stock is headed, then we will take a contract with someone that wants insurance that we buy or sell that stock opposite to the direction in which we anticipate it to go, if we are wrong we just are basically sitting with all that stock if it hit that strike price

I'm really digging this thanks but are you saying that on the expiration date if the price doesn't fall to hit $165 you get paid $425? ?
If so, then, why not pick a little bit lower and choose a date much sooner ..
And then just make lless more often ?

Yep! You can choose a lower strike, but you'll get paid less. In the end, you need to see what is the "sweet spot" for you.

Great video Steve. I learn a lot about options through your videos.. I think I still need to learn much more about the behavior of stock. Unfortunately I bought 100 shares of Tesla at around 255 and sold a few covered calls. Now the stock is way down and I don't want to take a chance of it being called away and taking a realized loss. Feels like I'm stuck with a hot potato for now.. Not sure what to do, but wait out the storm.

Good presentation!!!! Consider adding definition of terms - e.g., PUT, -put to the market . p.s. like the various artifacts in the background of your recording location - interesting.

What is the minimum amount does one need to have to in account sell covered calls with lower priced stock to make smaller amounts of premiums consistently? Can you maybe do a video instruction showing step by step how you would approach this?

I know the topic is about cash secured puts, but I'm currently on the other side of that trade (selling covered calls). I want to keep the shares I'm hoping they don't get called away!
