  • We spent 3 days as a family of 5 in Bucharest Romania. Watch for our tips and tricks and some mild trespassing. We really enjoyed the city and the welcoming nature of all the locals we interacted with.
    Day 1. Old town Bucharest
    Day 2. Therme Bucharest water park/spa
    Day 3. Downtown Bucharest and our impressions
    Not to miss- eat at Caru Cu Bere!
    Best way to get around is Uber as a family. With .only 1 or 2 people the metro,trams and busses would do great.
    The town of Bucharest is rich in history. There are enough museums to keep you busy for months! if you enjoy parks and nature, Bucharest has you covered as well. A few things really stuck out to us in Bucharest. The pace is pretty slow for a city of this size. everyone we met was very kind and helpful. English is spoken at most restaurants and businesses. It's easy to hop on a train and visit Dracula castle, brasov, and peles castle directly from Bucharest.

    Hi! Glad you liked Bucharest. A little thing to mention. Romania is a safe country for everything, theft, pickpockets etc, but even the car theft, is non existent here. For what i know, i think Romania is the second safest country at car theft in Europe❤

    Bucharest was called "little Paris" before WW2. in 1945 Romania was occupied by the USSR and from a Constitutional Monarchy with a King and a Queen became a Communist dictatorship. The communists transformed the little Paris into little Stalingrad... the nice building in the old center are from the Monarchy times

    Glad you liked our city! Have to correct you a bit: car thefts are absolutely not a major problem in Bucharest. Bucharest's rate of car thefts is about 1/9 that of Paris or London, for example. The most likely type of crime you can encounter, aside from pickpockets which, as you said, exist in any major city in the world, is administrative corruption. But even that is decreasing. I'm surprised you thought our traffic was calm though - it's probably the biggest problem of Bucharest nowadays, we've got the 7th worst traffic in the world according to the TomTom traffic index. 😅 There's also nobody going to arrest you for trespassing. 😆

    in romania it's 5-6 euro to get a prepay sim with lots of internet. Easy to get at any phone store on the street (orange, vodafone, digi?) No ID needed or other info.

    I just don't understand 1 thing. Where were your kids on the third day ? Did you leave them in the accommodation by them selfs? What were they doing the whole day ? Alone ?..

    • @teepsfam
      @teepsfam  2 месяца назад

      yes, just as we would leave them at home when we go out. They do what all kids do, chat with friends at home, use ipads, watch TV, read etc.

    Your video is wrong way round and needs reversing so we can read certain things often. Sometimes things are correct way round but often in reverse.
