I slept in my corset for the first time last night. BEST SLEEP I HAVE EVER HAD! Thanks so much for the tips with the towels in the lumbar area and just under the legs that helped a lot. My back feels amazing this morning. I usually wake up and something or other hurts (well... I did this morning because I smashed my elbow on the wall while yawning). I was worried about sleeping in it at first. I just put it on at a 3/4 inch reduction (outer measurements).

I have a really bad sleep pattern and usually can't sleep for more than 3 hours without waking up and having to move around. I watched your video a week ago and whilst having a really bad time trying to sleep I thought of sleeping with a pillow at my waist to see if it helped. I realised that I have a 8" hip spring without a corset and my waist is quite low on my torso so I get a gap and this leads to twisting and back pain. SInce sleeping with a pillow i've been able to sleep 6-8 hours without waking and feel much better. Thank you so much.

Thank you for this video! I am an ICU nurse and I don't think I could handle wearing a corset during my job, even a short one loosely laced. I have been wondering about wearing one to sleep only (for the 3-4 days a week that I work) and then during daily activities on the 4-3 days that I am off. Also I have terrible acid reflux so the tips there were fantastic. I don't seem to have any trouble at night when I watch my diet and take my meds but it's still good to have the information. I will give it a try!

I use a travel neck pillow when I sleep in a corset and I place it at my waist to fill the gap between my waist and my bed. It doesn't fall away from my body and if I should happen to roll onto my back it also provides lumbar support for me :)

I have a naturally tiny waist and ribcage compared to my hips, and I find it more comfortable to sleep with a corset than without. I'm a side-sleeper, and the support of the corset keeps my spine straight. I don't have any trouble keeping my balance.

I am definitely a tummy sleeper. One trick that I use for it is that I essentially will sleep on a body pillow which allows for even compression as the stuffing gets displaced to parts that would need extra support.

If your like me and you tend to roll around a lot and don't have a particular position you are most comfortable, or if your between two or more, then I suggest you either get a softer bed or add lots of blankets, towels, pillows and t-shirts all around and under kinda like a make-shift cradle I guess, I don't do corseting, personally think I look ok the way I am and I'm to active to start that sort of stuff, this tip is just for sleep in general I don't know if it would help with anyone who cinches their waist.

I just got my very first corset yesterday! It's a custom made black training corset with 24 steel bones (including busk). I can lace down 10 cm! Yay!
I can breathe comfortably but for some reason my fingers and thighs are slightly numb, however that might be because I'm tired, not sure...
Thank you for all the cool tips, I tried a quick nap on the side and the towel really helped.

I've tried sleeping in my waist cincher and I've found it very comfortable, as long as I elevate my head, which helps prevent acid reflux! My back feels really nice when I wake up the next morning! 😊😊

This is quite helpful. My sleeping position is on the side, and acid re-flux is a situation with me but Calcium Carbonate is working well for me. Now sleeping in the corset is an absolute necessity partly to get that steady effect and also to get maximum hours a day and if I did not sleep in the corset it would not get put back on until late afternoon. It took me a month of going to sleep in the corset to be able to go all night without taking it off at three o'clock. This meant that I would set the corset size and tie it neatly and hide the lacing then breathe and suck it in and button the busk with no additional cinching and even then it would still kill me in the middle of the night. But just now is nine days of going all night.

It is really nice that you do the extra effort to give as much information as you do. I should be getting my first corset on Thursday. I am so excited. And scared that it won't fit. I have a bigger hip area and a smaller underbust than suggested. I went by the waist size. Thank you for your videos.

you are spot on, for me, on the back, pillow in the small of the back, 2 under the neck to stop the acid rise. again you are spot on with the lying down and standing up differences. I usually tighten a bit in the morning and feel OK after about 10 minutes.

Hey, I want to buy a corset for waist training, but I can't decide which are best for this. Could you recommend some companies/corsets based on my criteria below?
Long-term goal: semi-permanent waist reduction of 2” - 3”. I want a simple, very sturdy, NON longline underbust corset to wear while asleep or during the day, made for the strain of daily wear + waist training. A modesty panel is nice. I want it to last over a year. Can you recommend a few corsets like this for under $300? Thank you!

another great vid :D i think this is what i will do. i find people are weird when it comes to corsets. i only wear a leather vest girdle because i feel more comfortable in it. it smooths me out therefore making my clothes feel and fit better. also it helps me eat less because my stomach is unable to poke out, therefore i can only eat a bit. i can't wait to get my own corset :( really want one.

YAY! So far there are no dislikes! This video makes so much since, but I have a problem. I hardly ever stay in one place while sleeping. Although, sleeping on my tummy is usually the most comfortable way for me to sleep, I do find myself falling asleep in one posistion, waking up during the night, moving, and then repeeting the hole presses. I think I will try to waist train at night for a while, and see how it works out. I misse wearing my corsets, and hope I stop being so lazy about it.

Corsets are very good especially for women. After child bearing some of your internal organs move out of their original positions so corsets can actually keep them in place. Corsets also help with keeping your spine straight when worn the right way. That is why patients with back problem sometimes wear a back brace to keep their spine in alignment. Same concept with a corset. Lots of people have bad backs and posture. Wear a corset if you can, it helps plus a bonus of you getting a small waist.

Another question regarding Heavenly Corsets "Wasp Waist" Training Underbust Corset: Do you find that the bottom of the corset pinches/presses into your thigh joint area when you sit down? I am short-waisted (high hips, w/ widest part of hip only a couple inches below my waist). Did you send Heavenly Corsets a measurement for where the corset's bottom should end above the hip joint to avoid pinching?

I'm new to waist training, I ordered today my very first corset. I needed proper informations on tight lacing, so I found your channel and I'm so thankful!
I do have an important question. I bought an underbust from Timeless Trends(is the nude polyester model, but it seems to me that all the underbust they sell have the same shape)
As you own one, do you think that they are conical enough to properly pressure the ribcage so to alter the bones instead of only squeezing the organs? Blessing.

Lucy, I have been experimenting with a wide adjustable tummy wrap (Bally Total Fitness) that has non breathable rubberized material on the inside and some kind of felt on the outside and a velcro strip to close, so it is really adjustable and can even close at an angle. I once used it to sleep in (loosely) just for the temporary thinness in the morning due to water loss through perspiration. After discovering your videos, I've been trying to use it (like you mentioned using a wide belt) for training prior to waist training. It's funny, whenever I take it off, I still feel like I am wearing it and it controls my appetite. Sometimes I rip it off in the middle of the night if it gets uncomfortable or too hot. While shopping, II wear it under my clothes so I won't impulse buy too many foods due to hunger. It looks better under sportswear rather than regular clothes (sometimes it shows underneath tops, and I worry that it will look like something shopllifted!). I look about 10 lbs. lighter in it. If I eat anything too close to bedtime, I get acid reflux sometimes. I have about 6 pillows that I can stack to use as a back rest to watch TV or use the computer, or break them down to get shorter and shorter through the night as I get sleepier. The smallest is a thermopedic one, and is good for my neck because I can only fall sleep on my tummy. I do all that you suggest with pillows between knees, behind back, under knees and my favorite is hugging pillows close to my chest because it keeps my shoulders from crunching towards eachother painfully, and supports my bustline. I always wake up on my stomach even though I move around all night. When my stomach gets to about 30 or 28 inches again, I want to order a pretty white corset from you, made of satin, if you have one. I'm glad you are a Christian, because I am, too!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience Athena! I have been looking for a nice neck pillow, but I found a tutorial online for making one out of foam and pantihose that I think I'll use. :) I also have a "pillow chair" for propping myself upright when I'm reading in bed at night, but I will throw it off the bed when I'm ready to sleep, lol. :) Thanks again for your comment!

    • @AthenaCreamer
      @AthenaCreamer 10 лет назад

Great idea! Maybe you could make a "curvy" neck pillow (satin) that you could produce and sell :) in material that matches your corsets...Maybe filled with rolled up blanket batting or foam rubber. I have a VERY FIRM neck pillow that a friend gave me from Thailand. It feels like it has WOOD in it. I'm not sure, but I think a Geisha could sleep on it so it wouldn't flatten her heavily waxed hairdo! Not very comfy and you have to lay perfectly still on your back all night. I will send you a picture though, because the pattern is pretty neat. It's kind of shaped like a bow tie, to give you an idea. Just a thought.

When I sleep in my soft-sider water bed I often find it very comfortable as a tummy sleeper, but I do it lying on top of a body pillow with two pillows under my head and my arms tucked along my side which help keep me from rolling off the body pillow.. not sure this would work well in a corset but worth giving it a try sometime - BJ

Would I still be able to sleep in a corset if I sleep like a tornado? (What I mean by that is, I literally move around in my sleep to a point where my sheets, that were tucked in, are no longer on my bed in the morning and are somehow completely twisted). I suffer from restless leg syndrome (which apparently isn't just in my legs). There's no cure for it, but I have found ways to reduce movement. I rarely have any time during the day to wear a corset, so I was hoping to wear it at night... if that's even possible in my case.

what does it mean if you can lace tighter during sleep than when sitting/standing? Sometimes I can lace 2 inches tighter for sleep , it feels like my hipspring is looser when lying down, I think I am flatter in some places in different positions. I think I also need a bigger hipsring.

It's possible to train in a shorter cincher, but if you have a really long torso and the Baby Corset doesn't pull in your ribcage, then you may not get as much training of your ribs as if you were to use a taller underbust corset. However I have seen many petite people with short torsos who wear the Baby corset like a full underbust and they can train their ribs in it fine. So it really depends on your goals, and your body type.

    Hello,
I have been wearing my corset for about a month now and it fits wonderfully but sadly it makes me look bigger if I turn to the side. It's more of a bulky straight look than a curvy inward look from my back to my stomach. I was wondering if there was any way to fix this or if I need a completely new corset? I have a 28" long underbust from orchard corset. Thanks a bunch!
    Lillie

Lillie helton Hi Lillie, how big you look in profile is related to your natural body shape and also the type of corset you wear. In many of my corset reviews, I look bigger in the corset from the side than I do naturally, because I have a naturally flat abdomen and the corset redistributes this. But in a few corsets like my Sparklewren overbust or Versatile Mimosa, I look very slim from the side. This is not just from a strong busk, but also the patterning of the corset itself. :)

Very well thought out, and well presented!
It really helps to wear a corset liner under your Corset! The world smallest waist woman is Cathy Jung ! I met her in 1989 in NYC at a Fetish event called Dressing for Pleasure she has been severe corseting for nearly 40 years as I also have and her husband is a Doctor. She has no medical problems to date! Nor have I had any medical problems, of course I am stable at 19 1/2 inches or 49.50 cm. Only thing is without wearing her corset she has no clothes that Fit Her! She was a judge in the corset competition which I tied for first prize, a custom made corset from Ruth of B&R Corsets of California! I eventually bought several more from her as late as 1999 till she retired! My last one from her was a gorgeous blue one with 12 garters 6! Per leg!, I Still wear it! I am on Facebook as Alexis DeVille.
And yes I have to wear high heels all the time now since for too many years I was in 4 to 5 inch heels at work and it caused my Archiles tendon and calf muscle to atrophy and fore shorten so I have to work out in wedge platform sneaker with almost 4 inch heels.
And can not walk in Amy heels under about 3 3/4 to 4 inch heels, I even have to keep a pair of almost 4 inch mules bedside so when I get up I can walk and not get muscle cramps!

Can you make a video of what to do when your corset is stuck. This happened to me and I fully unlaced but couldn't unhook the front to get it off. I came VERY close to cutting all my laces before my fiancé came along.....

I just found your channel today, already love the info, however I have a question that is difficult to find an answer to. What style of corset works well for sitting, I am in a wheelchair and so I sit all the time but I want to get a corset that will work well for me.

Hi Syndi, have you considered a shorter cincher / waspie style? These won't hit your lap when you're seated for long periods of time. lucycorsetry.com/research-corset-brands/guided-galleries/curvy-cinchers-under-200/

***** Is it a good idea to start corset training at night or a few hours after school? I'm 17 btw and will be 18 in a few months and want to start soon.Should I do lots of core training till I get a corset? And my girlfriend is transgender and wants to do this as well so she can have an hour class shape. Any tips or maybe please make a video for her? I researched it and a lot of other transgender women have this problem as well. Which should she pick for her shape and shes on the thick side?

Hi there, when you start corseting, it's best to only start with about 2 hours a day for the first couple of weeks (this is easy to do after school) I have a separate playlist on how to season/ break in your corset gently, like a pair of shoes. Once it's seasoned properly, you can start slowly building up your hours. I'd recommend waiting before trying to sleep in your corset. Make sure you can wear your corset at least 6-8 hours comfortably, and start with naps and see how you feel.
Unfortunately I don't have much experience/ knowledge regarding training a transwoman's ribcage, but Ann Grogan (owner of Romantasy) has quite a bit of knowledge regarding this, as does Fran Blanche (Contour Corsets).
I also have an article on where to purchase feminizing corsets for CD/TG tightlacers, as their skeletal system is different compared to a cis-female and they may need a different corset to help them train at first.

I sleep on my side, however, last night was the first time I tried to sleep with my corset and after a hour of laying down I had to take it off. I was feeling nauseated and was not able to handle that feeling at all. Within twenty minutes of taking it off the nauseating feeling left. Is that a normal thing?

I have abs. What will it do to the muscle? Should I just wear a waist clincher?

Are there any corsets that are shorter than 10 1/2"? Mine is about that long but I still feel uncomfortable when sitting down because it pushes my breasts up so much... Are you able to bend down a lot with your corsets? I'd like to wear mine to school but I think it's not such a good idea since I'm pretty much restricted in my movements :/

Hi Yissel, I don't recommend wearing a corset to the gym. This video explains why: ruclips.net/video/GsjugCEyta0/видео.html
