The supposed "standing order" that declassified documents he removed from the oval office is what they are arguing would have made it legal to take them to Mar A Lago. If he continues to claim he declassified these items, and he certainly handled them as if they were declassified, then I fully expect someone to obtain and publish them verbatim through the Freedom of Information Act before someone gets around to reclassifying them.

The precidence he set is that anyone can pass around a classified document and claim that they're *sure* the president said they aren't classified despite the markings on them. Declassified means public by default.

What’s ironic too is that Trump was asked to return all the docs in June but he only returned some. If he had returned them all he would have been off scot free even though he had already committed a crime by having classified docs at Mar-A-Lago.

People seem to be overlooking some basic logic. Part of declassification involves changing the labeling. The documents retrieved were still marked as classified, meaning President Trump never did so and Citizen Trump doesn't have the authority. Regardless, the crimes are not dependent on classification.
My question is why. Why did he take these boxes?
Mar A Lago should be subject to Civil Asset Forfeiture... it was used in conjunction with a crime being committed.

IF the documents were planted by the FBI -which also would mean that the FEDERAL JUDGE APPOINTED BY TRUMP-was in on it when he signed the warrant, then why would he have to declassify the documents? And also he’d have to know EXACTLY which documents were planted. The FBI would’ve had to have planted over 1000 classified documents and LEFT THEM THERE FOR MONTHS. In order to do that the FBI DIRECTOR APPOINTED BY TRUMP, would’ve had to okay the operation.
