Thanks for the recipe I made one for the first time on January the 2nd for my brother's birthday but I use store-bought pastry. Which turns soggy like you said it would. So I will follow your recipe next time I make one.

Just for your info chicken pot pie is cooked in a pot. You are making a chicken pie! The Pa. Dutch made chicken pot pie, long before Swanson called a meat pie, pot pie!
