- Welcome to our exclusive “30 Days of Confessions” Strong Towns video series, where Charles Marohn pulls back the curtain on the North American transportation system-everything that’s wrong with it, and how we can make it work better for everyone.
Here’s your tenth video. In it, Marohn talks about a popular approach to road safety: complete streets. Unfortunately, all “complete streets” do is accommodate pedestrians in a car-dominated environment. But the Strong Towns approach accommodates cars in a pedestrian-dominated environment.
Transportation in America is getting worse, yet costing more. We have to do better. Read our new book "Confessions of a Recovering Engineer: Transportation for a Strong Town" by Charles Marohn, to learn how: www.confessions.engineer
The CC on this video displays a different language when set to English. Not sure what you can do, but thought it was worth mentioning.☺
