04:07 that's a bad explanation. You still have to install the cable even you don't want the touchpad to be remapped. You just don't have to solder it. Otherwise the whole thing will not work, because how should it communicate with the controller without any connection...
Just a question u said that u can skip the touch pad spc part and the l3 r3 if u don’t want to re map them so how would it work in that case
U still install the ribbon as shown. U just don’t solider the left side for the touch pad.
I’m confused, so if were not soldering and are simply just trying to install the remap kit without remapping L3 & R3 what part of the can we skip to? 6:30?
u can skip l3 r3 if u don't want to remap those button

I've sold my remap kit so, i think it is better to address that question to the extremerate team.

it depends, for me , it is awkward and i never use the backside buttons
