I was taken to the outskirts of Soweto many moons ago while visiting relatives in S/A. As a east ender who thought he knew what growing up in poverty meant I can still taste the air coming from Soweto in my mind even today. With temperatures reaching over 90 degrees Fahrenheit a corrugated shed can fry an egg on it.

If you watch ''Climate: The Movie'' here on YT you will find it is worse than that, climate activist in the west do not want africans using fossil fuel to better their own lives. They want them to live in perpetual poverty.

I dunno. You see those such lovely people in those 3rd world countries and it makes you look at yourself. I mean us, in the UK or USA. Those people haven't got a pot to p*ss in and yet they are resilient, grateful and happy. It makes you realize how lucky we are and yet we complain so much. I think a lot of us need a dose of hardship.
