I have this exact mower and love the kawasaki engine. From my experience i would install a metal elbow coming from the engine to the rubber oil line out the back. Mine kinks from the 90 degree turn it has to make. That kink will eventually cause a hose fail for me one day.
Help me with the site to buy the tune up kit urgently for my husqvarna z254f, it runs on a kawasaki engine? I need everything in the kit listed in the video
My Kawasaki engine 730 V was backfiring bad from my Brand New..Husqvarna mower.. Parked in the garage and decided to check the spark plugs.. Found one plug .025 and the other at .026 manufacturer recommends .030.. the backfire was so loud it sounded like gun fire?.. did this ruin my brand new mower?. thanks.
On the 730 24 horse KAW motor my specs say to change for the first time at 25 hours, is that correct? Also to check the oil level do you screw the dip stick in all the way or just seat it then check? Thanks.
Hi, our recommendation is to follow your owner's manual. If you need a manual you can obtain one at the link below or via a local authorized dealer: www.kawasakienginesusa.com/support/manuals. We recommend seating the dipstick to check the oil fill level. Thanks for inquiring!
I would change the oil after 8 to 10 hours of break in. The dipstick should say whether you should screw it in or just stick it in without turning the threads
I'm confused. I just got an ariens ikon XD 42 with Kawasaki fr600 engine. Do I need to do an oil change a 5 or 10 or whatever hours as a break in oil change? Manual doesn't state it besides change at 100 hours
@@divorcedwhiteman1968 I was told by dealer and Kawasaki that they use break in oil at factory and hook to dyno so set carb and stuff, then they drain. Dealer adds oil and only need to follow the 100 hour schedule.
My Kawasaki FS 730 V is a royal pain in the balls to change the oil. Impossible to change the filter without getting oil all over the place. And I hate the drain valve also it's made of plastic and it started to leak after two years and I had to replace it. Not an easy chore .
Maintenance for this engine is really nuts. Need to adjust valve settings? What kind of POS engine is this? that's way beyond maintenance. That's periodic engine rebuild
My FR600V says right on the dipstick as you pull it out "For correct oil level, do not turn cap on threads". Some engines might be different, but that's mine.
That part where the drain plug just twisted right off must be CGI.

Do all kawasaki engines use the same tune up kit?

@@northernredneck8326 doubt there's any significant damage.. these motors are pretty tough..
Same thing with my Toro V twin. It’s a tough motor.

You are not supposed to screw the dipstick in just take it out wipe it off reinsert it and then take a reading.

My salesman told me first one at 5 hrs and every 50 hours after that
@@codieterry8114 Also what I’ve always been told.
I never changed it at 5 or 10. Gonna change now after 2 years lol. Oops
So how do you replace the shitty plastic drain valve when it melts out, and there is not enough clearance to thread in the replacement one?
My Kawasaki won’t start until the oil is changed but I just changed it
What is the initial break in period for the Kawasaki engines?
" break in" periods are a myth of sorts...but with that said they recommend changing the oil after the first 8 hours of a new mower
My mower or kawi manual doesn't say anything about break in oil change
@@2010stoof definitely change it

No mention of the size of wrench to take the plug off
19mm
I used a 17mm
Use the one that fits the best.

like how they cut the scene where the oring was about to be a biatch.
He used 2 open end wrenches to tighten the drain plug to 61 inch pounds?! What? No torque wrench available? Ha!
