Thank you! You guys done a phenomenal job, you should be very proud of yourselves! Such great variety and attention to detail. I love it! 🫡 My wife was looking at it and pointed out a house and said, "that's the house I grew up in". No better compliment there 😊👍
This has to be my fav Cities skylines channel. I love randomly going to small towns and cities around in the UK and felt the same way watching this video, this really felt like visiting an actual city. Much enjoyed, cheers
Couldn't agree more. Each build is just so beautiful. Hopfully I can see some small towns like this when I come visit from the US in April. Unfortunately I have to spend some time torturing myself at Goodison Park before it closes. Don't ask why high school me picked such a crap club.
Thanks to Macwelshman & Rik4000 at last we can build British, Great build man, the scheme reminds me of the view you get driving through the M8 in Glasgow. I could imagine Helensburgh being the setting for the beach are given that it has a pier. When I was young I used to live in the middle of a Forrest near Rosneath Castle Caravan Park round past Faslane Sub base and Gare Lochhead.
They did amazing didn't they? Yeah, I had to put a wee scheme in somewhere, the assets were too good not to find a place for them. That sounds like an interesting place to grow up. It's really nice over that way. Not been over that direction for a few years. Stunning when the weather's good 😊
TENBY! Ah I absolutely love this place, I remember I played a golf competition at Tenby Golf Club but our car broke down over 3 hours away from home. We had to wait for family to pick us up, so we went into the town to have a look around and have some chips. Amazing Town.
Literally looks like google maps!!! I was honestly a bit disappointed with the UK pack until I saw this video. Fucking great!!! You can tell you’re from here because you only used the small roads, everyone yesterday was building with the bigger roads, looked really off. Well done
@ I think like I mentioned, seeing the uk pack on other videos yesterday with big roads and grids being used it looked really off but with the narrower roads it completely nails it. When I saw city player plays do he’s breakdown down yesterday I just found a lot of the building to be a bit post ww2 but I really like the pack after seeing this vid. 😉
In Sully's asset showcase with MacWelshman the very limited parking for high rise council blocks was specifically mentioned! There's some really interesting discussion about choices regarding scale and having to fit the constraints of zoning in the game in that video.
No way! I was actually thinking about making a little seaside town based on Tobermory. I know about it from a children's book that my kids have. 😅 Yours turned out great! Glad you chose Holyhead.
That sea front reminded me of Oban up in the Highlands! You've been the only one capable of making this pack look good haha + should definitely add a golf course, so many of the scottish towns have them :)
I did have a look at Oban when I was checking out Tobermory. That would have been a good build too. Such pretty little towns. Golf course would be a great shout 😊👍
Great build. I’m really glad to see these types of plopping/detailing videos appearing for Cities:Skylines 2. I felt it was the part of the community that were most disappointed with the game as released. The new content packs have finally elevated the game to be a suitable successor for the original.
It's Noooo Tenby! Love it! Used to go there on holiday... not a beginner's map this. Should be fun! Oh, and that's no a tram, it's a subway "train"... the trams are a bit more "glassy" ;o)
Yeah, I didn't do much to flatten any terrain. I smoothed out the jagged heightmap data and used image overlay combined with Google Earth to give the coastline a more accurate look. But the result is quite hilly, so no, not particularly beginner friendly.
@@PoplarPonderosa Aye, it's partly why it remains a heightmap on my drive and not an actual map. Ironically the "commission" I had looked at this for ended up with something equally hilly! Different UK island though.
lol Tenby I love it, this is on my list in future too, showed Jay Tenby a few months ago. I grew up in Pembrokeshire about half hour from Tenby 👍 Great build man, and very very speedy to get it out since launch ❤
Ooft, I'd love to see what you could do with it with a more expansive build. That would be an epic. Jay was saying he was checking it out a while back actually. It's such a picturesque spot isn't? Cheers bud, yeah, it was a bit of a crunch getting it all done that quick. Insomnia can have it's benefits sometimes 😂
Awesome build! Looks like loads of little seaside towns tou see all over. Love this UK pack expansion! I hope they can build on it similar to the uk stuff that was in CS1. This has motivated me to put my finger out and now buy CS2. Haven't had the real want to do so up until now...
Thank you Dusty! It's the best pack yet! There's so much variety, I could filll a map with lots of little villages easilly. Good to see you grabbing the game, you'll have fun with it for sure. I hear there's a good discount on that instant gaming link below 👇 😉😂
hey @piccana_ I clicked on the link but the ultimate edition isn't available. If I buy the standard edition what would I be missing compared to ultimate? You mentioned lower frame rates in this vid. I have a Ryzen 7700X and an rx7700xt... Am I going to struggle at 1440p?
@@dustyboat8802 Here's the differences between the two. www.paradoxinteractive.com/games/cities-skylines-ii/buy Keep in mind, you can pick up the base game cheap, then add on the creator packs etc as they come out. So, for example, modern architecture pack that came out this week, you can get as a stand-alone add on. My FPS is struggling because of the city size and all the detail and mods I'm running. The game is nice and smooth in all my other city builds. Your CPU is basically the AMD equivalent of mine, I think you'll be fine (however, I take no responsibility if it's not 😂). Just keep in mind the game just runs slow in big cities regardless of the PC. 👍
this is so accurate ive seen some of the american creators try and recreate uk cities using the new packs but they just end up in boring grids they dont understand that we love bendy roads
This is a fantastic build and is almost ALMOST perfect. The only criticism is that the sand is far too clean for our gross UK beaches 😂. I live on the coast and our beaches do not look that lovely. Need a murky brown with random channels of water/sewage running from the quay wall into the sea!
this a realy very nice cosy and super realistic build, nice details, and the new pack is great, very compare with european and german style, good to combine this ones.great job 👍👍👍👍👍
Yep, it's in the discord. There's a UK build specific playlist you can grab along with the game save if you're interested. The other series' playlists are in the discord too 😊👍
Ah, thank you! I'm not sharing it just now as there are local mods and assets used in it. It's just a pain to share as people have to go and pick up mods from random discords etc. If I build this out a bit more, I'll replace them with PDX mods for easier sharing, but I dunno if I'll get round to it tbh.
Hi, you can get them from Sully's discord and install them as a local mod (basically you just copy them into a folder.. You'll find them in the self promo channel. Here's an invite to the server 👍 discord.gg/hPAa352ZH7
not sure i like the massive repeatness of building, not sure it makes it believable, sorry for being negative. edit; after checking some pics of typical UK neighborhoods, you are right lol...it is still ugly, those uk people??
Fantastic build. It gives me so much pleasure watching creators using the pack that I worked on for so long. I hope everyone is enjoying it.

Definitely looks a nice little place. Could be worse places to be stuck. 😊👍
Tenby is such a gorgeous town. My great uncle was mayor there a long time ago. I got to visit about 20 years ago and I loved it!
No way! I've never been but it does look like a stunning little place 😊👍
this pack is amazing its so good to see everyone making different uk cities and towns !!
Best pack by a mile so far. I love it! 😊👍

why dissapointed, looks like the best out of all. even if too few low residential
