Every country has its own set of international laws, and can change them whenever it likes. "International law" doesn't mean "laws that apply to all countries", it simply refers to the sections of a country's laws that govern the way it interacts with other countries, as decided by its legislature. Laws are just the rules decided upon by the people with the power to do so. Those people can always change what those rules are, you shouldn't elevate them above what they are.

@@annoloki International law that is mentioned in a global setting refers to laws set and agreed by all countries and originates from global institutions that all countries are part of such as the United Nations. It has no reference to each countries' interpretation of International laws. An example is that International law does not allow for unilateral sanctions against another country but the US does it anyways because of their rules based order.

I love that my students in China, all who come from fairly well-to-do families, are not allowed to use phones in school. They do not carry smartphones with them, and I have never seen a student with one. It makes a massive difference to how they are as people. There is a connectedness, respectfulness, immediacy and goodness to them that I have retrospectively found to have eroded in Korea, where I taught for twenty years. This is not to say that the students I taught in Korea were rude or anything of that nature. They were not; they were good people. But there is something tangible that the absence of social media access brings to a classroom and a school. I would summarize by saying the absence of smartphones results in a greater sense of togetherness, and an ability to hold someone's gaze and listen to them directly. In a word: presence. Finally, I don't use my own phone that much either after being tech-starved for a week last year on Kiritimati in the middle of the Pacific. But I do deflect occasionally from making stuff and doing research on my laptop to watch a RUclips video or two and give a rare comment or two, as here.

We've reached a sorry state in the UK when people like Ellwood can blatantly misrepresent facts. This isn't an exhaustive list from what I've gathered from this clip but here goes:
    i. The UK found NO security threats in Huawei [see Vince Cable's admission] - it was only after BoJo went to Australia as Foreign Minister that he changed his tune after being leaned on by the Baldie [Aussie Defence Minister?] on behalf of the US.
ii. What Rules Based Order is TE referring to? Is there a published (& universally accepted) set? The Rules which should be observed are those voted in by the UN or other authorities like the WTO.
Looks like TE hasn't learnt from his drubbing by George Galloway in their recent Oxford debate.
The bottom line is China can do without the UK - the question is why are we so intent on digging a deeper hole for ourselves by siding with a fading bully instead of taking the morally & ethically correct course of steering a middle course that is right for Britain?

NO sewage systems, NO baths-just showers, STINK coming from shower drains EVERYWHERE, they sell air fresheners everywhere that you put in the shower drains because of the smells.. Leave the big cities and you enter America in 1860, except for a single electric wire into the house.. Well pumps in the kitchens, fields fertilized with human waste.. The smells are really bad.. This is HIS girlfriends parents house 20 miles outside a large city.. Communal bathroom for the town, EVERYBODY showers and uses the bathroom there TOGETHER.. Male and Female..LOL..LOL.. You take a dump and put the paper into a bin in the center of the bathroom, imagine the smell.. The food is dangerous.. First thing when you wake up is boil your daily water in a 3 gallon ceramic bowl and you use that to do anything that goes inside you or touches your lips.. EVERYBODY does this, RICH AND POOR.. Crazy prostitution houses on every block in the cities, THAT SURPRISED ME.. No signs for them, BUT, EVERYBODY knows where they are and what they are for...LOL..I guess the kickbacks are tremendous.. Small 3-wheeled diesel putt-putts are EVERYWHERE spewing black smoke.. The sky often becomes ORANGE because of the pollution.. Get sick, you get the 12 pills, FOR EVERYTHING.. Some kind of herbs or something.. Need REAL CARE, you have to go to the western hospital in Beijing.. OTHERWISE, you DIE.. Warlords rule in a lot of the country, especially the western areas.. They LOVE KARAOKE, they have entire buildings of 12 stories devoted to it, with different types of music on each floor..

Great opening liner Lvy. Actually most Asians have this mindset. Do what we can do, ignore what others have against us, usually unfounded and baseless allegations, but single-side perceptions or worse, hearsays. That’s no way gonna improve our lives.
I’m from Singapore, and Singaporeans are living a peaceful life in a relatively crime free and beautiful environment. I’ve got comments from ignorant westerns saying Singapore is having harsh laws and fine it’s citizens freely. The problem is, westerners don’t seem to understand that we don’t like crimes, or tolerate that, hence we avoid getting into situations that will be on the wrong side of the law. How would anyone get punished one way or another, when we embrace the laws to make our country crime free? Then they came up with bs like Singaporeans can’t own guns or do drugs freely. God, why do we want firearms to seep into our social system, where one can live in fear, walk into the streets unbeknownst the person next to you may be a threat to your own life, and they the same thinking about you? Mistrust and stuffs, rather than protection. And drugs, a huge social ill, and they expect to want us to follow the west into the doldrums of zombieland? What for? The people will be an economic and social burden, stressing on the medical capacity of any country.
So let’s just do as you’ve mentioned. Let them say all they like, we will just enjoy our peace and environment. Let them concoct their own impressions and dwell in their dark thoughts while we all will keep on progressing

He expressed what I suggested was hard to achieve at the moment, explained some of the difficulties they were facing, confliction to the law, regulations, and the civil development requirements, which never crossed my mind to consider them in. TikTok is just a public media to serve the public.Tobias and the host Morgan are obviously very highly biased and prejudiced westerners who have already made up their mind that China or Russia are evil and untrustworthy. And therefore have to be put down at all costs. It's very sad indeed both of them have not shed their fear of the "yellow peril" and " defend the British Empire" at all cost. Such mentality are very dangerous and insiduos for forging mutual understanding.

I am a Filipino many Filipinos are divided between China, but one thing that I personally learn about. Never believe on western news especially most of them exaggerated the story to support on their political idea. As a Filipino I've constantly encountered many harsh news against our nations in general. Especially during the past couple of years when we have a very controversial leader I've say this, many people in South America even in the US itself has drug related incident. Murder, shooting all of it or most of it are link with Drugs. The problem of South American countries especially in criminality is very common past years before President Duterte became the leader. Now we don't have same problem when it comes to drugs and criminality. The crime went down but the Western media only talks about the lives of drug suspects but they ignore the impact of the war against Drugs positively to the community. Add to that before in the Philippines Streets especially during night is dangerous now no one is saying that streets are dangerous in our country. The thing I learned is western media exaggerate stories and never told the whole story in general. Even if China and the Philippines my country has territorial dispute I never generally say that they are just pure evil.. I'm not retarded to believe what I heard in the news. I have a tendency that actually search what I heard to the news to another sources that has complet story of the news to avoid the brainwashed.

@@yaoliang1580that is the US might set they want everyone to speak English, have democracy, consume Hollywood, enjoy American and American culture believe in the American dream and trust that America and American is superior to their own and thus emulate and obey America by doing so it destroys local culture and tries to bring them under the American umbrella

People in the west are too poor to travel the world. That's why they stuck in that little puddle.
People who travels the world, are the only who can see the different. A quick visit don't even change much either.

Can we trust the Chinese blah blah. And the part where he keeps mentioning International Based Rules when they are flagrantly break them and show the middle finger to judicial bodies such as the ICC and ICJ is laughable.
