We just did a 4 night cruise on the Wish with our 5 year old daughter. My wife and I did a carnival cruise for our honeymoon and enjoyed it, but let me tell you Disney Cruise was MUCH better. Even with the funky layout of the Wish, we really loved it. Everything was awesome, service, food, cast members. My wife looked at me on the last day and said “I guess we’re Disney Cruise people now” and that’s all I needed to hear to start planning the next one 😂
I’m a single mom too and my son and I both agree that DCL is the perfect vacation as we both get to enjoy time to ourselves and together. My favourite one so far was Alaska on the Wonder!
So many people I know up here in the north east are so sad that Disney is no longer sailing out of New York City. The other cruise can’t come close to what Disney offers. Desperately hoping that with the new ships they will bring back one of their ships to New York City. We did Halloween on the high seas in Oct, 2023. It was fabulous. The ship was sold out. So there’s plenty of people to fill up their ships. I’ve called so many times. They cannot give me an explanation as to why there’s no sailings out of New York City anymore. Fingers crossed that they will resume again. My table mates were from Ohio, PA, Massachusetts, NYC, NJ and the rest of New England. Please bring back a Disney ship to New York City🙏🙏
I totally agree! Hadn’t really considered it but I see questions about it so often. It seems it’s been very random sailings over the past years but I could see them having the demand for sure!
First ever cruise was for my birthday back in 2022 on the Dream and I was immediately hooked. I watched your videos and many others to prepare and I got to say thank you so much for the time you take to gather all this information and share with. Our next cruise is for the Treasure in May 2025 and I’m exited to celebrate another birthday with the DCL team
I had a brief moment of insanity last year when I went to book Alaska. I saw how much cheaper Royal was and looking it over. My wife said “You know you like Disney. We like Disney.” I was glad she grounded me back to Earth. We sail next month. The last time we were on The Wonder was in February 2020. I’ll never forget it. We had a great time. Who knew the world would be so different just two weeks after we got.
@DisNEEDS I totally get you. Single mom of 2 girls here, and Disney Cruise is fabulous. the kids enjoyed Oceaneers club and bingo, and had a blast on the water slide, Aqua lab and the port excursions. We just got done with a 7 day Mexican Riviera cruise on the Disney Wonder. We even did karaoke! I highly recommend this trip to everyone!
Just got off a seven-night Disney cruise last Saturday-and we’ve already booked our next cruise for 2025. We have other cruise-line experience, but there is just no comparison in quality.
My first ever Disney cruise was in 2017 on the Magic in Europe and after that, I wanted to go on more Disney ships. In 2023, I went on the Dream, also in Europe, and I have booked a cruise on the Fantasy in Europe. Would love to go on the Wish and Wonder.
we've been on 3, and our daughter with us for 2 of them. She is always asking when we are going back to Florida for the Disney Cruise lol Hopefully next summer, gotta use our placeholder by August 2025 but can't plan as far ahead as we normally do
I hate the tipping system they have. I wish they would just charge it up front and include it in fare rather than trying to guilt me in tipping. Just standardize it!!!
I love DCL. I think it is the best cruise line. The service is unlike anything I have ever experienced. I do wonder how much those serveys play into this. Those servays are basically worthless. Disney is borderline psychologically abusive to cast nembers over these serveys. Most guests are afraid to say anything less then perfection for fear their crew members will be punished or fired.
I love Disney Cruises. The only cruise line I go on but they really really need to improve their food. The experience is amazing but we never like the food
I took my family March break on the Disney cruise I have 5 grandchildren… I have been on other ships.. Princess … NCL… Royal Caribbean , and Celeberrty… yes it was fun for the kids.. but is it worth 3 x the money as other ships… I say .. NO… food was ok.. nothing overly special.. buffet is not open enough.. it closes in the afternoon .. and only the on deck fast food kiosks we’re open and the line went down the length of the ship… everyone was coming back from shore and everyone wanted to eat.. why don’t they have buffet open? Dumb…
We are Platinum cruisers on Disney, but honestly I am so over Disney. I don't think their inflated prices are justified anymore. There is nothing special about the food, and I really dislike these new ships that Disney is releasing. Been on the Wish and have no desire to go back.
I suggest trying Celebrity cruises. Although we like Disney, we found Celebrity better on the food and relaxation aspects. It is also luxurious (if not really luxurious) not just bougie. Sometimes Disney projects luxury with ultra-inflated prices but its not really luxurious. We used an Aquaclass stateroom and the room attendant gives you ca business card with their direct number. Pretty high caliber of service and the shipmates are all happy, not nervous like Disney employees!
I agree on Celebrity cruises! Stay in the Retreat on a Celebrity “Edge” class ship. The Edge class are their newest ships. The price is comparable to a non-conceriege room on Disney cruise. They are beautiful ships with some great entertainment on board.
Our family had a mediocre experience on a 4 night Bahamian cruise on the Wish this year. I mean staff were great, food was great, but the activities for the kids were not that engaging, the kids space is basically interactive furniture which got old quick and our 5 year old refused to stay for more than a half hour, my very social 14 y/o wanted nothing to do with any of the teen lounges, but thankfully kept busy playing basketball in the hero gym. The bikes were all in horrible states of disrepair on the island. The Jacuzzi was closed whenever we tried to use it. The marvel dining experience was just loud and obnoxious. Besides the hilarious magic trick that our waiter showed our 5 year old, the dining experiences just felt rushed and chaotic. Despite the fact that the actors were all excellent, the experience does not live up to the Disney classic the little mermaid. Aladdin was pretty decent though.
I hear more cons than pros about the Wish. It seems better to stick to the older ships. Also 3 days are too short for a cruise imo. Need at least 5 or more.

That one is on my list, and we absolutely love the Wonder! Thanks for sharing!

The last year I lived in NYC was my first cruise and it was Disney Magic to Bermuda. Ha! Until now, that experience gives me goosebumps.

I’m so glad they are useful for you! The Treasure sounds like a perfect place to celebrate!

It was so weird. I hope you have a wonderful trip!

We feel the same. I was surprised by NCL in the best ways but It’s just such a different vibe.
I wish my tummy could handle late dining! I miss those days 😅

I have heard some cons about the Wish…so we better keep on the Magic…thinking about the Dream tho! Or the fantasy!11
